He did the same thing when he was going through a breakup. I helped him out a lot. He also gave me some good advice when I first got together with my current bf. I also got together with him and his new wife a few months ago for drinks. And bought them a bottle of bubbly and a card to congratulate them. His wife is lovely and I'm happy for them.
