Nick I'm going to be honest here, it scares me that every time I think about whats next for my car you post a vid of exactly what I'm going to do next. I orders my RS brake swap and steel brake lines 3 days ago!

One thing that's interesting, the RS calipers while bigger, are actually a good bit lighter than the ST caliper set up. The trick to compressing the rear calipers to fit new pads, is to just rest the caliper on a bracket/hard surface and using a pair of needle nose pliers, fitting a tip of the plier into each dimple, push and twist. Remove the reservoir cover and just be sure to keep an eye on the fluid level. The ST brakes are terrible for track and heavy usage like a couple hour long twisty cruises...The RS Brembos are a great upgrade and yeah, those Mazda5 rear brackets are expensive used, cant find a pair less than $80 anywhere!

You’ll need 5mm spacers with the snowflakes

Installed mine 2-3 weekends ago, man these oem brembo pads are dusty. Just need to do the rears, next. I think I knocked down 60 lbs off the front with these brakes and wheels over the stock brakes and premium wheels.

Please tell me the answer to my question. I have a Ford Escape II. It's based on Focus. I don't have enough regular brakes. There is a desire to install a reinforced Brembo kit for RS. I have three questions: Is there any effect from this kind of work? No need to intervene to replace the main brake cylinder and vacuum booster? Can you tell me the size of the rear tomosal disk RS?
