Our winters in Canberra go down to about -4 degrees. I just leave my pelargoniums where they are in the garden. The die down for sure, and look just like yours, all withered and crappy, and then in the spring they grow again, all by themselves. I don't have to go to all the trouble of digging them up, storing them, replanting and fussing. Is this because my winter is milder than yours?
