I kept mine over winter in a dark room with controlled heat and watered very lightly during winter. They continued to produce new leafs. I took them outside a few days ago. I already see a cluster of bugs forming in one spot. This is my first time saving my geraniums. I LOVE IT!

Very low key and soothing video, like listening to the gentle clapping at a golf game. Very clear instructions with no frills- I like it and will give it the old British try, both the putting in the box before winter and the taking out and replanting at end. Thanks for the idea- if all goes right I will have my most eye-popping true red geraniums back again next year.

Thank you for this information. I did dig the geraniums from my garden beds and followed your method. I also had a very large one in a pot. I cut it back and have it my garage. Would you recommend that I put it under a grow light several hours a day mid-march so it would leaf out before removing it from the garage in late April? I am in Salt Lake City, Utah USA zone 6.

Our winters in Canberra go down to about -4 degrees. I just leave my pelargoniums where they are in the garden. The die down for sure, and look just like yours, all withered and crappy, and then in the spring they grow again, all by themselves. I don't have to go to all the trouble of digging them up, storing them, replanting and fussing. Is this because my winter is milder than yours?
@LearnHow2
@LearnHow2 3 жыл бұрын
Hi Tomas. Our winters are cold and wet getting as low as -10 degC. The cold and wet soil cause ours to rot and die. Keep safe.
