Your video sold me on the Wickett & Craig’s leather I had the Roberts 1964 in the cart while watching this and said dang it I’m switching. American 🇺🇸 tanneries they are more expensive but oh well.

Great video! The veg tanned leathers look incredible. I work out of my garage and did my review right on my work bench as well. I also did a comparison to my urban loggers which are 6" like your Roberts. My Roberts are 8" and in Brown Waxed Flesh same 55 medium arch like yours though.. Matter fact, after watching this I'm about to them on now haha!!! I saw your one week update before this one but I look forward to see another update as well as your Franks boot review.

Hey bud thx for the reply.I ended up returning my nicks and buying more of franks boots.talking back and fourth with nicks to try to figure out my correct size seemed might it would of put us down a rabbit trail, so I did a refund and just went with nicks wills hire boot.As they nailed the fit first go around.I’ve got nothing bad to say about nicks there boots sell themselves without a doubt.just in my case franks got it figured out spot on and I couldn’t be happier with the sizing.
@52maq523 жыл бұрын
Same story with sizing. Had to go full size down from what I was recommended by Nicks looking at my fitsheet. But I waited and it was worth it. Great fit now. But inconvenience is there. Don't know why they commonly make it bigger.

My wife and I were in northern Idaho last week and decided to go to the Buck Knife factory and Nick's boots the same day. We both got fitted and ordered boots. I got the Robert in the brown waxed flesh and my wife got the Builder Pro in brown rough out. It's because of people like you that do these videos that I was able to make a decision on what boot to buy. I think our next pair will come from JK boots. Thx.

@JCDemoModels4 жыл бұрын
If you ordered your boots with the Spenco insert they were likely built one width wider to compensate for the added thickness. Put them in and that should help on the loose fit.
@keithjohnson51484 жыл бұрын
JCDemoModels 10/4 I wasn’t aware of that.thank you. I’ll give it a shot and do a update after they break in
@swankybubbles774 жыл бұрын
Keith Johnson I was coming here to say that. They do make them slightly bigger if you order the insert which would explain the loose fit without those in. Nice video thank you. I got the same pair last month, same leather. They feel great 👍

I Really Want The Robert Veg Tan. It Is $650 Now 😬 but They Are A Beauty. I Am Really On The Fence Because Whites 350 Cruiser is $585. These Will Be Casually Used. What Are Your Recommendations?
@keithjohnson51483 жыл бұрын
Hey David, Before I give u my opinion I want to say both boots are amazing and with proper care will last for years.with that said I know I would personally go with the whites as the customer service with nicks was not the best with my order.also even after the sizing my foot getting my try on pair then re waiting for my boots to made they were a full size to big.and nicks basically didn’t not want to go a full size down to make it right,wich lead me to cancel my order,and go to franks boots wich every pair they have got right the fist time.I can say tho the leather nicks is using is from wickett and Craig tannery and is the same leather I use for my leather business simply because it is amazing.whites uses a weather resistant leather wich is oil tanned.both leathers are good .veg tanned leather will patina quicker and nicer but is more upkeep.if I was in your shoes for the two options I would look into whites.but also look for my video on the wilshire boots I wanna say they are $535. And simply amazing and now that they are fully broken in are like slippers on my feet.let me know if this helps or if I can help with anything else. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Did you ever get to eat that pizza? Have a couple of pairs of Nicks 10D and JK's 9 1/2 Average. I have a pair of Frank's on order 9 1/2D. Wear 10 1/2E in Danners or other off the shelf boots. I think people overthink the sizing too much. A half size is what about 1/8" to 3/16" or so. Watch all your videos. Great hat.

The front and the back of the heel measures the same. Therefore it is wrongly made. The back is always higher n the back unless it is a very low heel last

Yea exactly.once I had to send them back they said they can build me three different size boots and after broken in they would all fit the same.soooo not sure why if that’s the case I had to spent extra for the custom fit???? Nice boots. Had coworkers who swore by Nicks but they used the work boots. And wore the hell out of them. Landfills are full of bad stuff and leach and those boots would hold up for two years of daily wear. Some other guys swore by Whites. If guys are buying Nicks or Whites or Wescos to show off to their friends during their weekly pub crawl then they are wasting money.
