My uncle was a Commercial electrician. He had big feet. He paid $1,200 for each set of boots and he bought 2 pair. They lasted over 20 years. He bought them in the early 1990’s. He used to say “You cannot put a price on happy feet”. Tradesman in the Commercial Electrical and Plumbing trades earn 6 figure incomes. Boots that fit well are as important as the hand tools you own and use. $2,000 is worth having happy feet. If you cannot afford it up front, save your cash until you can buy a pair or have them made by a local boot maker. Don’t skimp people. 😉👍

I'm born and raised in Leon Guanajuato Mexico, a city that has almost two million people and where probably 80 of all the shoes in Mexico are Made, since my Father made adhesives and chemicals for the shoe industry for 65 years I grew up in shoe factories, leather tannery factories and all the things related to the shoe industry, My hometown has huge factories with thousands of employees and micro business where the son is cutting leather, the father is stitching and the mother is gluing, in my hometown they make all kind of shoes from real cheap to luxury one of a kind, is very interesting that you walk in some real big markets like a Walmart size where a lot of vendors have a space and you can choose the materials to make you own pair of shoes, from exotic leathers to the material for the soles, I know the prices of a hide from Italy, Brasil or Mexico and when I read that the leather for a pair of boots where 1000 dollars That made me laugh, I have a friend that makes boots for Luchesse boots and Harley Davidson and with way less than that you can pay for all the materials to make a pair of exotic leather pair of boots. Don't underestimate the Mexican labor, a lot of shops in North America have Mexican workers. So a pair of work boots worth 2000 dollars? Not in my opinion.
