I watched this video yesterday. As someone who grew up in church, was hurt by church people and left the church, I never left my God. Technically yes I was astray, and recently decided to rededicate my life to Christ. But I was well aware that church people hurting me, had nothing to do with my personal belief in God or my salvation. I pray those women heal and seek the face of God again. Amen!

As a Christian, I personally find it unproductive to compare our faith with other Abrahamic religions. I would rather have devoted Muslims in my life than people living life solely by their own rules. Devoted Muslims are often disciplined, generous, committed to prayer, and dedicated to fasting during Ramadan and sometimes beyond. Many also prioritize pilgrimages like the Hajj to Mecca. They even hold Jesus in high regard as a prophet and share numerous prophets and heroes from the Old Testament with Christianity. The only way that the Jews had to connect with God was through animal sacrifice every time they sinned. They went to the Temple and did the rituals God prescribed to connect with Him. Jesus said that I am the way the Truth and the life, no one comes to the Father but through me. Religion is mankind's attempt to be good enough for God through rituals. Jesus ended the rituals when he became the final and perfect sacrifice. Jesus exchanged His life for ours so that if we accept His payment for our debt we can have a relationship with God the Father. Jesus ended religion but there are people who still have one foot in the law and one foot in Grace. These are the religious people with their religious practices but it isn't scriptural. A person doesn't have to go to Bible school or attend seminary to know these things but they do have to put 2 Timothy 2:15 into practice. The only religion after the New Testament started that is biblically approved is found in James 1:27 Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world. Anything else won't help anyone obtain a relationship with God the Father but only mire them down in pointless feel-good rituals.

Amazing that with all the research people do they still do not know that King James was not the author of the Bible. He simply was responsible for its translation. The fact that 40 different authors wrote its books over time, and years and centuries and many did not even know each other yet all the books fit together as a whole book that was written by one author is absolutely crazy amazing! It seems one group is talking about a personal relationship with God...getting to know who He is in juxtaposition of mankind. The other group seems to have taken negative experiences they've had with people in a church and equated it with a relationship with God...not realizing any time there's a human component to any group/organization, you will have those kind of interactions. We have to keep our focus on God and build a relationship with Him...He will direct your navigation through all of it to reach the prize of the higher calling in Christ Jesus. Also, we bump into human depravity on our jobs, on vacation, in school, etc...how many people stop going/attending these places? It's all about building relationship.❤

I stayed for 13 years because the word was being preached, l saw demons cast out etc. However so was the “ spirit of Jezebel in leadership. @ Some in leadership are truly sent by God. They get tired from the pressures of ministry, backslide, etc. They can become condescending toward their flock in their heart….. Then that Jezebel Spirit manifest in them in the form of control, manipulation, guilt tripping the congregation to give financially, coercing, division due to gossip spread by the actual leader. Yet his/her gift still is used because God gifts are without repentance. The Lord will still move because the cry of the people. In most cases the “real” prophets will start coming to rebuke and correct.

There was a period of my life that I was angry with God and wrestled with my beliefs and had a history of SA as a child. My fear was that I didn’t question anything as a child, trusted and was abused and hurt and left me with a deep shame and self disgust that didn’t belong to me. I thought I would be safer questioning everything especially religion. A defense that left me thinking I had to do it all myself, never let anyone in. When I saw my abuser blessed beyond belief as he tuned to God and was given a Daughter…ohhh I was so angry with God. How could God do that ?!? Long story short, I walked back and sometimes ran back to God, out my trust in Jesus and surrendered my will, my pride, my control…I surrendered it all and still find more to surrender even today. It has been healing and I have felt God’s love and hand in my life and the Holy Spirit. These Women are lost and leaned into their own understanding and albeit even their own ways have contradictions. I pray that God who is the author of their faith encounters these Women who have strayed in a way that arrests their individually to open a path back to Him.
