Every time I hear Nicky teach I just want to see him dominate in competition. Idk why I want the entirety of the B team to be so successful but I do lol I think this team is important for the future of Jiu jitsu

The content you guys are pumping out is dope. Would be awesome to see Nick Ortiz on the channel again, I know he said that their was a big emphasis on guard retention in his classes and I’m working on that now so it’d be cool to see!

This looks cool. I struggle with everything associated with getting to and from headquarters position - I am so easily swept! - but I have added it to the list of things I will drill after I master a few more baby steps. I see Nora in the last few seconds of this video in the background. I still want to see more of her .... I know she's not into lots of attention (one of the reasons we love her) but seriously her Adelaide peeps can't train with her / watch her compete locally anymore so she should let us KZbin stalk her! 🙂

Great stuff Nicky! Question, because I see a nice rolling back take there on the second technique, would that be a good option as well?
@dmaurice19862 жыл бұрын
Definitely. If Nicky reaches up and grabs the ukes trap with his right hand, he can safely roll over his right shoulder and the leg clamp will work very similarly to the first technique. Only issue is it can be hard to get your right knee close to his hips to make the clamp effective (he’s on his side with frames, which is why Nicky is taking a flop pass to side control. It’s easier to get the arm in front of ukes frames instead of your leg)
