I know. I could not, and still cannot believe it really. It was in a place that is very remote and so likely it was there for days being bleached by the sun. find in a lifetime really. I was very fortunate. Im worried Im going to break it!

nicola white Most would have that appropriate worry, I would be done for the day and immediately walking it out as carefully as I could...which would cause me to break it of course, lol. I thought the onion bottle with the cork and possible shield on the neck was choice, and still do, but the pipe, oh my word, the pipe. AND you say it possibly was exposed for an extended time before you found it? Just glad it sorted out the way it did, and that we got to see you do what you do oh so well.

The first live round you found is a 7.62 NATO round as used in the FN-FAL rifle which was the standard service rifle in the British army from the '60's 'till the early 1980's. The second live round is a 9mm Parabellum, a very common pistol round. Lovely stuff!

Fascinating group of finds and lovely narration as well! The brooch is a sweet piece and the complete pipe a true beauty! Also a bucket-lister for me here in New England! This is one of the most enjoyable videos I have seen on KZbin in a long time. I just stumbled upon your channel and I'm so glad I did! We don't see many little goodies from the 18th Century here in California. I noticed at 1:25 ,when you were showing us the button, there was a metal ratchet click part for an old mechanical clock on the right side of the screen next to the large rock (it's that sort of parrot-shaped thing with the hole in the middle of it). Being an American, I was not familiar with the term mudlarking, but now I think it has become one of my favorite words. I look forward to watching more of your videos. Nicola: FYI most bullets that have been the water are inert. The gun powder will turn in to fertilizer. The primed on the end causes the powder to ignite also become inert with water. I enjoy your Vlogs. Leo Wolf Joshua Texas USA

Hi Nicola!Great video as usual!the .303 rounds are standard for the ww2 timeframe and the small ones are 9 mm used in pistols and submachineguns you have to be wary with some of the .303 rounds as some had Incindiary Projectiles but treated with the necessary respect things will be fine!I love your videos!
