I agree that this album is definitely her best work!! The singles made me so excited for what’s to come, and it definitely delivered. I think Nicole blended her tumblr roots and growth as an artist with an album which i think is wonderful. Here’s my take on “Dogwood”. It made me nostalgic of her old work, which I still adore to this day. There’s something so intimate and personal about the way it sounds, almost as if you could walk down the hall and hear your sister singing as she strums her acoustic. And with Dogwood, it needed that level of personalization. It’s like a prayer you’re saying in the middle of the night with tears down your face. I think to that it adds dimensionality to the album. So glad we both have the same favorite!! “Nymphs Finding The Head of Orpheus” was love at first listen for me!! “I’ll Wait For You To Call” made me sob like a baby, which is another reason I go back to Nicole’s music. The way she tugs at your heartstrings is cruel yet comforting, and only she can do it the way she does. TL;DR Great Review :3

Sadly I feel like it’ll get buried by the end of the year, but I genuinely enjoyed this project, love her very breathy and almost fairy like vocal style
