LED L series Fire Alarm on FWR power?

If you're referring to smoke control systems there is no need to be afraid of them unless you were in the same room of the fan during start up they could be dangerous however most buildings don't have them and they aren't accessible to the public so they are safe

@@NetWinder there's no need to be afraid you would just have to be cautious if you're in very close proximity however unless you are working with or around them there is no way you'd be that close

If you were to install an LED device as a replacement on a system with xenon strobes, would that be allowed by code in your area, or would it be counted as a mixed signal? For example, if a xenon L-series died at the new elementary or middle school, could the device you showed in this video legally be used as a replacement, or would you need to find another xenon L-series?

No, that's perfectly legal. I explained this in my review video that they are backwards compatible with system sensor devices from 1997 and newer

Of course they all work fine together as far as synchronization and stuff goes, that much I assumed - but I was wondering whether or not codes treated LED and xenon strobes differently. It's good to hear that they're legal to use together, though-backwards compatibility is always good on these systems in order to keep them operational for a long time.

Yeah It's seems somewhat normal people don't like anything new or different it was the same when the L-series came out in 2017

I like to look at the Xenon L-series better than the advances I just think the Horn Grill being off Center on the led variant is just wrong. I don’t like the look of it but again I really don’t care because exactly like Nick said at the end of the day it’s a fire alarm device no one‘s gonna know or care. I really like the look of the LED ceiling mount version. I like it better than every ceiling mount they’ve made. I’m just excited to see how this new coding options are gonna be implemented.

@@Open-TechI tend to agree with you on that part, Advances are very common as of in you find them in a lot of buildings as new installs or replacements for older systems that are more interesting to see in a public building.

No the house system will only go into supervisory if the garage system goes into alarm and the other way around

@SWAFanPilot the cps-24 on those power supplies are interchangeable, though, so all you'd need is a CPS-24 and not a CPS-24E

@@captainchris2016 since it was released it's always been listed as a replacement device for models that can run on FWR which it wouldn't be legal for them to list it as a replacement device and or compatible when it isn't able to run the same power source
