any way did you have any thoughts on my previous comment in case you did not see it I said a fire protection engineer stated he recommended co alarms in addtion to photo elecric alarms the manf does not say to use it that way but that what he suggested in case you are unclear the title of his report was experimental use of co alarmd for detection of smoldering fires any ideas? he suggested co alarm in the same places as photo electric alarms Any ideas ? All I can say is I did find 2 cases where it seemed a co alarm did provide a warning of a smoldering fire !!! ( but I guess the true answer is its one of those things it might work if your lucky ??? So the idea I came up with in my home was put a combined photo electric co alarm which one will alert first in a fire well all I can say is a manf stated that in a combined alarm its an international standard that smoke takes priority over co could co provide an early alarm I don't think we can be 100 % certain it seems it does provide alarm sometimes but certainaly that manf will not say to use it that way but its my thinking it cant hurt to have an extra alarm ?) anyway ideas please thank you!!!

We had multiple power loss lately quickly surges of power. I was at the front of my school when one happened and i could hear the horn on the annunciator. Our school is from the 1970s and it has an old simplex system with mechanical horns. I watched the emergency lights turn off then the panel went into trouble. Probably AC fault or something.

- this is a stupid question that i haven't been able to find an answer to: i have a 60 watt led moving head dj spot light. i am always worried that if it shines light directly at a fire sprinkler head, it might set it off. but if i put my hand in front of the light, the light on my hand is only slightly warm. so there is not really a possibility of it being hot enough to pop a sprinkler, right?
