So why push out a cover of a new Adele song within a matter of days of it being released? I think she'd have done a better job if she'd sat with it for a bit. "I was just a child ..."! She still is a child, and she's singing a song about the pain and regrets of divorce when she's not even of an age to get married or give legal consent to sexual intercourse! It's creepy listening to a child pretending to be an adult, and this cover was unnecessary.

@@Ozymandi_as Ozy, I wondered about that too. These early releases seem to be quite common now-a-days. Not sure why but as I understand it, there were over a thousand covers the 1st week. If you want to see creepy. Watch the adult women swoon over Michael Jackson when he was 10 years old. However, Angelina has always sung songs about emotions that she has not experienced (her first song on Norway's got talent was about a person with suicidal tendencies) and most of the great songs in the world deal with male/female relationships which she covered with an unbelievable ability to convey the emotions to the audience. Apparently, her mother interceded on several of her covers to see to it that direct sexual content was not included. IMO, what you have said pertains to the normal young artist. Angelina, is not like any other young artist in the world. Her maturity goes far beyond most adults in the music business today. She is protected from all the negatives swirling these days and I see her as a very healthy young adult.

@@Ozymandi_as I'm sorry but I disagree...feel her pain in this song...she grew up so quickly and I can't imagine the pressure and we have to remember she is only 15 years old...but 15 years old is no longer a 'child' but a teenager/young lady and her interpretations of songs are incredible! There's no reason to talk down about Angel-ina just because of her age or 'lack' of experience for this particular song. She's so much more advanced than any other young artist and has more talent in her pinky than most 'artists' of today. Adele wrote beautiful lyrics that mean something to her but Angel-ina feels the words power but relative to a whole different perspective. I will not apologize for the fact that Angel-ina knocked this one out of the park! She truly IS music! And a rising superstar. We are all blessed to be alive to witness this young ladies unleashing to the world. She will be known and remembered for many, many years to come. Be well...

@@Ozymandi_as The beauty of art is that we are each allowed to have our own interpretation. Angelina has always had her own interpretation for each song that is "too mature for a child". Her interpretations are always centered around love. You may choose to not listen to any child sing and that is your choice but it is completely wrong to say there can only be one interpretation for any song (even if the songwriter has been forthright with what she was trying to convey). Angelina may only be 15 years old in body but her soul is as old as the hills and in my opinion, the best singer story teller of my lifetime.

Angelina's roots being firmly planted in jazz, allows her to bring forth a more penetrating ability, with regard to reaching deep into the human soul, than any non-jazz singer, even one as great as Adele. Angelina incorporates nuances and inflections by Billie Holiday and Amy Winehouse, and Amy being the most uniquely different jazz singer of all time could only be passed in that genre by Angelina, for she has redefined the genre as Amy did previously.

I love the ability that Angelina had to immerse herself in the soul of the song, with her usual naturalness and I appreciated her unique and fascinating way of giving it to us. As I loved also the way she wanted to reassure us about her grandmother's health, she did it with infinite delicacy and sweetness, their heads side by side almost counterbalancing the detachment that Adele writes about in the song. Both in the first video on TikTok and in her studio video, her body language, in addition to her vocal interpretations, Angelina manifests an even more heartfelt participation than usual.
