I know platinum games, I know the first nier, and I am very familiar with all of yoko taro's games. But this blend of nier and platinum combat... It reminds me of darksiders a little bit... I like it.

Heiler Der Welten That could be but apparently the robots are aliens or are created by aliens so I dunno. We will see soon enough.

Gilgamesh Enuma maybe they just found those clothes and put them on... regardless, it is a nice throwback. I am really curious what kind of plot twists we are going to find in this game... I mean, everything is very straightforward right now... alien robots are invading, humans deploy androids to fight them while they reside on the moon. It really is kind of like the first game in that aspect. There has to be some big twist in there.

Yoko Taro says, that we will see Junk Heap from the first game, but it will be different. Maybe this location somewhere around it.

I like the game footage so far, but I have yet to see a reason to choose the other character (Aside from the many different endings this game has) like does he control differently, has other skills, etc?

Yes, he does. They stated that he has a few of his own "perks". On top of that, his attack animations are different.

Yeah I have seen other footage, he wasnt the lead party member, but his attacks were very different, like he does a stabbing animation with his sword, which makes me hope that he will have some kind of a tactical moveset focused on crits.

I cant appreciate the gameplay with how stupid those hovering swords look. (Yeah it's intended to be like that but it still looks weird.)

Yes it's some kind of magnetic thing. I think it's very cool-looking actually. Don't forget the protagonist is an android. She is not human. So they can do whatever they want !

they do have some sort of levitation ring around them that makes them hover behind you, so it makes sense
