thanks for the translations! the "android dressed in black" is just the weapopn story of Emil Heads from automata, i doubt it's a hint at the next game's release date, it's not new information

I remember reading a story in the game about the Robot Nobility and the civil war, can't remember where now but it may well have related to the 10H storyline. I am glad that the timeline reinforces that Replicant/Gestalt, Automata and Reincarnation are a true trilogy. It does make me think that perhaps Yoko Taro is done with the Nier series now and a new Nier game may be less likely but any game that is in this universe would be welcome. Considering Sqeenix is really pushing remakes at the moment I think a Drakengard trilogy remake would be interesting.

I need to watch the end of Reincarnation again. Yoko Taro seems to be wrapping up his involvement with Nier but I saw Reincarnation as partly a training ground for his successors. I’m guessing we will continue to get new Nier games from the new generation of creators!

I didn’t play Reincarnation, but I’ve watched a lot of your videos on the game. That’s how I familiarized myself with most of what happened and how the game ended. I’m very excited to see where the Nier franchise goes next. I only hope that the next game comes out soon. I think Reincarnation ended on a very interesting note.

Thanks so much for your translation. After watching the anime I theorize that rather then it being a separate timeline it takes place in the data server on the moon. This is implied by the puppet show segment when you see Mama Ghost talking with 9S. Always look forward to more of your content. Stay great.

19:54 Yes, i think thats the hints future date too. Convert the date to days *12422 AD => 2422 - 2024 = 398 days The shutdown date April 30, 2024 + 398 days (1 year 32 days) = June 1, 2025. *SEP 2 => assuming this is the future date, the gap days from June 1, 2025 is 93 days. *June 1 2025 + 93 days = Sep 2, 2025 My guess is 12422 AD, SEP 2 = September 2, 2025.. similar to 12024 AD, APRIL 30 = April 30, 2024 I guess they will announce something on that day. Anyway thanks for the translation, I've been enjoying these chronology videos recently

I believe 11794 is the Machine Network accessing the Moon Server. We know that they did at some point (see how The Tower has saved data about the Moon Server's non-Cage data), and I believe that there was mention of the Machine network absorbing data about "someone" and then the ego of the Red Girls came into being. I believe the 12422 Android in Black is a reference to the Emil Heads Weapons in Nier Automata, which says "[01/19/12423] Our memories are only copies, so they're pretty vague. That android wearing black... I have the feeling I've met her before. She had a complicated look on her face, but I can't remember anything...", and has a passage for September 2nd 12422. That might be an error with the incorrect date, it might be that Emil saw this android later than it was first spotted, it's unclear.

Thanks to you for your traslations! Being a non-japanese reader this kind of stuff is usually out of my radar, listening someone translate for once was useful and appreciated. From the last entries I would Guess the next game will be about the Machine civil conflict that has got bigger in scale and the Android in black (maybe the protagonist?) and/or someone elses try to end their battles maybe instaurating peace among machines and between machines and androids. Only time will tell

Yeah, maybe the machine lifeform events that end this chronology are the setup to the next game. I also thought maybe the android in black was 10H! But I’m guessing it’s an all-new character

Too bad there is no new information regarding F66x or the flower. I hope they will make a game for either Accord or 10h someday. Those 2 really deserve their own games.

Thanks for the Translation! and by the way, all those pictures you done on the photomode? man, you really spent a lot of time in there! I should have explored it more. 17:32 about that "hibernation mode" I like to think they stored our accounts and maybe they can release something in the future were we can use our old account as a starting point, if they release a new game and you can recover some data of the characters and weapons we have collected throughout our gameplay, it could be a reward for the ones who played Reincarnation, and that's something I can just hope for...

Iirc 11944 AD it's about the Automata extra ending, the Plato 1728 story 11955 AD Should be about "The Cage of Rebirth" event story, when both Mama and Rion failed to save the Cage and it's destroyed 12422 it's about the Automata's Emil Heads weapon story, there's some point when he sees an "android wearing black" but we don't know who it was, it would be really interesting if it hints at something coming out on the future, but I personally think it's going to be during Automata's 10th Anniversary (2027), just like happened with OG NieR's when 1.22 and Reincarnaton were announced

1:30 I think that may have been the Machine Network, or one of the Administrators. I'm hesitant on saying it's the machine network because I belive the backdoor No. 2 left gives them access to Yorha and the Moon Server, but I could be wrong. The server on Earth could have given them some sort of access too. 6:18 I'm leaning towards cannibalism lol 6:45 might be one of his versions, or the machine life forms 8:25 ironic because one of N2 was debating bombing the moon server. 19:00 I share your sentiment 19:28 that's one of the Emil weapon stories from Automata I think. In the far future he sees what I think is 2B. Could be A2 or even 10H though. I think it's interesting that Fio gets a body in the real world. Was always confused on whether she ends up being a Machine, an Android, or a Human. I'm also curious on what the Androids are doing during the time of the machine civil war, and whether or not the calamity has taken place yet. (It should have if there are nonmore dragons around. I'm surprised we didn't get a teaser date for it). Thanks for your work translating Cabbage, it's been fun hearing your thoughts on things as you went through it!

The Pearl Harbor descent actually predates not only the Automata anime, but Automata as a whole; it was among the first concerts leading up to the announcement of the game, and it's included as an optional text segment recounting those events as fanservice for those who followed the story, and/or to just inform/remind players of it from the concerts! I think you're right about the hacker being 9S. I don't remember the exact chronology, but I think that might match up with Memory Thorn? Or was it Memory Cage? At any rate, I think that Automata implied that the commander was fine telling him the truth with the implication being that he would soon be killed by 2B again (if I remember right, between their activations and the time of the game, 2B has killed him 40 some times). Of course, the commander wasn't counting on the hidden truth of YoRHa's purpose, so that ended up being irrelevant It's interesting that this chronology stops at 2B and 9S being reactivated. That's what happens in the "Farewell" concert, but there's a story that takes place shortly after that which you put the image for (the "[the end of data]" concert). If you haven't read transcriptions or seen the concert readings, I highly recommend it, primarily *because* it seemingly references lore from Reincarnation. I don't want to say more than that in the interest of not spoiling it Oh wow. I'd never have guessed that the Administrator and the whole ordeal with the girl in red and reshaping Earth into the alien homeworld was *that* soon after Automata Whoa whoa wait whaaa? The world of Levania's species is like.... outside of the existing branches? That's new and crazy info! Also, I get they're being playful about just putting things 10,000 years into the future, but I also would never have guessed there was such a big time skip within Reincarnation I think the 12422 event isn't necessarily a hint about a future game. It isn't new info (I think it's from Automata World Guide Vol 2?) and I think it's just to emphasize that at this point, it's been so long since the [e]nd of YoRHa that a sighting of an android which may or may not even be YoRHa is considered remarkable. BUT who knows. Yoko Taro is known to put tiny details like this into timelines that could be expanded upon to make entire games from. Reincarnation, or its bigger place in the timeline, only exists because of the 10H short story, after all Which leads me into the whole machine lifeform civil war thing - it *could* just be for flavour, and with Reincarnation being a thing now, it brings to mind certain parallels to Fio's story of a society choosing to further broaden its class system. I tend to look at this a lot and (perhaps overthink) that this too could be the seed for a potential new NieR title, even if it's something as small as informing the setting of a game that takes place thousands of years later. Time will tell! Thank you so much for translating everything here, Cabbage! This really is a great gift to the NieR/Drakengard fandom. Lots of new revelations here that expand or change our understanding of how things work. As usual with this kind of thing, with every answered question comes a brand new question! I'm now the most curious about this world of Levania-like monsters and what their place in the greater Yoko Taro universe is meant to be. Here's hoping that a potential NieR 4 can dive into that, or at least reference it enough to answer those questions

Wow this is a lot to digest The android in black clothes, as it has been mentioned in the comments, is a reference to an android of unconfirmed identity mentioned in the weapon Emil Heads in Automata. Worth noting, this entry is identical to the one we had in the previous World Chronology in the Automata World guide, the machine nobility and civil war also have identical entries. What has me extremely confused is that, if I'm not wrong, the machine nobility is talked about as the Sun/moon siblings progress though the final parts of Reincarnation, meaning this happened before the confrontation with the Admin Girl (contradicting the entry) or, Yuzuki and Hina saw the future? Anyways thanks a million for all of this!

@@cabbagechannel7874 Hi! I double checked and well, it doesn't say nobility but it does state that a machine kingdom is built after they defeat all the androids. I guess I jumped the gun too early when I saw that and thought that Reincarnation was taking place after the whole machine nobility

I appreciate your work on this. I am curious, are you trying to experience the story through your personal exposure? There are a few 5+ hr story summaries that start in Drakengard and go up to Automata. That said, you are the foremost creator that is covering Reincarnation but you seem unconcerned with any ties to Drakengard. No hate, just wondering.

Thank you for translating all of the timeline. Now that's it's all done, I can give my impression on it. It's odd they added the Drakengard 3 events. Wasn't the game supposed to take place in Midgard like the other DoD games? Also having the Reincarnation character entries take place in another timeline would make more sense than taking place in one timeline. Saryu and Priyet's events taking place in the Replicant timeline would have been maybe a contradiction. This story has a school which teached magick but apparently magic was brought into our world with the Queen Beast and Angelus. And one last thing I want to say, at least for now. Not all the events have to take place in every loop. Ending E of Replicant only occured once as far as we know. The one timeline which lead to Reincarnation. Also the events of the Automata anime aren't described in this timeline. So I wouldn't consider this a complete timeline considering all events/branches etc. Oh and the Android in black in 12422 AD. Is this maybe a reference to 10H hidden story? I have to re-read it. But though she sacrificed herself, she existed still in the some space, right? Can't remember how the story ended. 😅

Great work on this Cabbage, I honestly can't think of any significant things to note. Aside from Her, looking like one of the two machines at the end of Replicant remake new ending. Eerily similar look I'd say.
