But ask why the NHS is being cut. Because the government is in debt. Debt that is driven by the financial sector, but mostly by the cost of social welfare. I am not saying immigrants are coming here to go on welfare, but that they contribute to the cause of youth unemployment, which now stands at 25%. Just 10 years ago it was 11%. A lot of immigrants work through agencies, on lower than minimum wages. (Legalized slave labour - disgrace). The only people who benefit are the bosses with bigger margins. Those that loose out are the local people, people who have to accept lower wages In times where costs are rising. I wonder if Australia, USA, Canada, New Zealand would open their doors to immigration, allowing thousands of unskilled workers into their country. He was right that Britain has become very multicultural, but it was the negative impact he predicted which is what stirred up hatred. Many ethnic minorities received abuse after his speech, which was totally uncalled for. Current Immigration brings down wages and the standard of living for those already living here. People say that immigrants take the job local people do not want. The real answer is that migrants are willing to work for low wages, low wages that most locals could not afford to take.
