I suggest u check what Kaliningrad is actually used for . Russia is not scared of nato . It is scared of what independent countries , on a long path to democracy , may do to Russians … I am all in for neutrality but there is zero evidence that Russia will respect that . Putin made it very clear that Ukraine is part of Russia and only exists because of it . A neutral Ukraine is a temporary thing… will last until Russia will have found another excuse to silence Ukraine . As I said, I don’t mind a neutral Ukraine … but who will guarantee such neutrality in the long run ? Particularly because Putin has made it very clear how he thinks about Ukraine . I assume you never listen to Putin’s speeches… they leave little to the imagination . Why do you think he continuous to support separatist movements …. Neutrality of Ukraine is not what Ukraine wants , and it’s a short term solution that keeps this war and issue of your agenda , so you can sleep better … Best proof is Finland … they see neutral … now the debate starts about joining nato …. Neutrality never lasts very long … even Switzerland has spoken out strongly against Russia , and there is no country in the world more neutral than switserland . It’s not a military issue … it’s an issue of democracy (with all its flaws ) and being able for a country to decide its own destiny as apposed to dictatorship and being flight in a history where it does not want to be (and I fully understand that western democracies have serious issues ). Ukraine is just one country … ask Lithuanians , Bulgarians , polish where they want to be … it’s their decision … not yours … your “neutrality “ is just for your peace of mind …

You need to talk to someone who understands nuclear arms strategy not a dumb politician. In the seventies the people in charge understood what war means and with nuclear weapons that we were all at risk. So after half a dozen accidental close calls both sides agreed to de-escalate the situation. Intermediate range nuclear missiles were banned and this reduced the risk of a nuclear conflict. The idea of buffer states was introduced in this way and that reduced the risk of human extermination. But recently the US refused to renew the intermediate nuclear missile treaty which was a bad idea. It may have needed to be re-negotiated but modern diplomats are recruited for their compliance and wokeness and no longer have the education in nuclear strategy that is required to do their job properly. Putin is very clear about what he wants and what he wants is not at all unreasonable. He wants a de-militarised zone or buffer state on his border so that the US won't put nuclear missiles just 4 mins travel time from Moscow. How would the US react if Putin put nuclear missiles in Mexico. Well the US would do exactly what Putin has done. Remember Iraq the West lied about Saddam's capabilities but they still invaded. So its pot - Kettle. Read "The Water Babies" by Charles Kingsley and understand that Putin is "Mrs Do as you would be Done by".

He understands nations and borders and people and war Boris was always at a loss listening to scientists and advice over Covid. Just not his bag. And he was under pressure to throw parties and get staff infected and immune on one hand and all else.... People lashing out over daft things in this country and attacking Winston Churchill statues and having a go at M.P. s over benefits.. My God they were not even paid not too long ago... Germans paid double and USA senators even more....... I hit this to watch again... whilst typing... I found myself agreeing with him with every word really...... Nigel Farage.... realist common sense! In a world full of delusional fanatics and delusional people and misplaced ideals.... happy to speak his own mind based on facts! In a realist context.
