They still don't get it, the British people overwhelmingly want migration drastically reduced, but you still believe he's playing to an extreme right wing position. It's always the same tune, if you're not happy with the way the country is going you're clearly a racist xenophobic. This is why Farage is popular, he listens to the people and can see what's happening himself and is prepared to stand up and speak. All the mainstream parties are pretty much the same, no matter what they say nothing gets better, but things get worse. People are deluding themselves if they believe Labour are going to solve the countries problems.

If someone is saying that they want to “make - insert country - great again” how does that mean they love their country? Surely it means they only liked it at some (often unspecified) time in the past and want to change current Britain radically. You could argue the left also want to change the country - by making it more “progressive”. But if you think that means they hate their country then you have to also think the right do as well. By this logic only the centre love Britain because they are often happy with non-radical change. More logically we all love our country but disagree on how it should be improved. Don’t dehumanise the other side as Britain haters just because their values are out of sync with yours!

smaller state and councils but reform has to start phasing out council tax, huge vote winner whilst immigration probably tops out at thirty percent - a residence test of ten years before access to social welfare, housing, benefits, nhs, etc, retrospective to free up social housing and deportation for those who can't support themselves and don't have Brit passports...

Whether you love him or hate him literally nobody has the pulling power of Nigel Farage. He literally IS the most powerful politician in the Country bar none. If he stood for one of the major parties he would sweep into number 10 but he WILL turn Reform into a powerful force in British Politics. By the way i usually vote Conservative but not this time. Im giving my vote to Reform and more or less everybody that i know are giving THEIR votes to Reform.

@anicetune7 ай бұрын
Farage is a rare combination - he has a deep, well-spoken smoker’s voice (rare), an authoritative gravitas (rare), infinite confidence, he never gives up (rare), an ability to memorise and recall ever changing statistics (rare), exceptional debating skills (rare), an ability to simplify complicated issues, a crowd-pleasing way of talking, likability, charisma and a sense of humour (rare). On top of that, he isn’t scared of consequences (rare). The suit, neat haircut and his age makes him look highly respectable to the elderly and conservative types. He probably reminds them of wartime politicians. Most importantly, he never does or says anything that would provoke a media storm or moral scandal, despite walking a tightrope of what’s considered acceptable almost daily - and there’s a million media types out there scanning his every word, who would love nothing more than to discredit him. Farage’s performances over the years in the EU Parliament have given him celebrity status, partly thanks to KZbin - and in the political world, celebrities outrank standard politicians. Celebrities usually abandon politics for the world of glitz and glamour. Farage hasn’t (rare). So he’s somewhat of a political giant and legend. What REALLY sets him apart though (as if he isn’t weird enough) is his love of non-mainstream politics, which people find intriguing, so they seek him out. Every political party would want Nigel on their side, but I doubt that his rebellious personality would ever allow it. Nigel knows he’s a political giant and I think he derives pleasure from siding with the little people to take on what usually seems like a hopeless cause, even if it is wrong or immoral.
