I am not sure of cost but looking at the state of the floor I would have thought just buying a new floor pan would be less time consuming and much neater . Putting patches on here and there is a bit of a botch job . I say that as someone who does loads of patch welding / botch jobs for customers who just want their car through the MOT

Truth... But in this case, there appeared to only be a small patch near the Gas pedal that needed to be patched. But when I removed the sound retarding material, it revealed more pin holes. If I had it over to do again, I would have purchased a quarter pan for the drivers side. Hind sight is 20, 20

Is the corrosion from inside moisture collecting under the carpet or from the outside?

This car was a barn find. And Tom's knob was clogged, and a hole in the top so the pattern of accumulation looks like top down, not bottom up Also the whole underside had intact undercoat. Looking back I had underestimated the damage. Initially thought I could just do a few quick patches. Probably should have replaced the whole pan on drivers side
