Me and my uncle are going to castanet some shad and hopefully catch a catfish it don’t have to be big so wish us some luck because we have gone seven trips without a catfish

Some catfish around there too. Wherever the baits at that’s where they’re at

do you drag going up river or down river? how do you account for depth changes, greater than 10' and keeping the bait near bottom? dragging is still quite new to me, so trying to understand as much of the details in keeping baits at correct depth seems to be important to get it right. thanks

Against the current. Depending on how hard our current is, what we do is drop our speed if we go in deeper water say if we started in more shallow water or a lot of times if I start at 35 foot and I end up in 20 what I will do Is jack my speed up one notch, so it glides faster and won’t hang up. I’m using 4 oz. Right now at reg pool and normal current

Do you catch the shad on the Ohio side of Anderson fairy or the Kentucky side

Lotta times I catch them in the creeks that are around. There are some right there also on the Kentucky side. Might even be some on the Ohio side. I’m not sure.
