@Baldermort4 жыл бұрын
@@banneduser5187 sorry, Beefy, but sometimes reality is weirder than fiction. 1. I have been roleplayings since I was 8. Thats over 4 decades of doing silly voices and getting into character as we never spoke out of character unless we had a question of the GM (usually me - sigh) or were describing. So, in that regard I guess you are right. 2. Nope. I never did drama and never did am dram or anything else. If I did - from what other people are saying - wouldn;t I be doing voice overs and other cool stuff and making a living out of it. 3. I worked a lot of phone jobs., I learnt to use my voice to calm people down and get the best out of them when I could (worked in Adult Social Care) so its a kind of experience, but certainly not that you think again. 4. Yep, people told me to do voice work for about 2 decades and I just shrugged and went 'can't. I'd fail' as I have very little confidence and less faith in myself. Grew up in an inner city, so the usual deprivation of expectation bla bla thing happened I guess. I just never believed in myself. 5. You can tell from my first few videos how much I have learnt and how little I knew. Seriously, go check out my first lore bits -prognostications. It sucked so badly there is no way I could be anything more than an enthusiastic amateur. 6. I got made redundant. So I learnt some video stuff, (not easy) and gave it a whirl. I am still not having a great time in work or finding a better job. Despite how I may sound, I am just like everyone else and trying to have some fun, entertain a little and - if I am totally honest - get some money. I am broke. So why not try to monetise the only thing I am good at, explaining weird stuff? Sorry if you think I am a charlatan. My vocabulary is good as I am a nerd. My voice I have explained. If you are that uncertain then its not too difficult to work out who I am. I would rather people didn;t as I want to stay anonymous. But its pretty obvious. Then anyone could stalk me and find out. If you really think I am an actor - why would I not be doing straight book readings and actually earning a crust? As it is I am considering it due to the very generous advice from people here on the guide. God knows I could do with the money just to cover the bills. Because if not? If I fail at that? Its back to an office as an admin. or wiping butts. As that is all I have on paper. :(

@SmokerX91 Жыл бұрын
@@caspiancauser2491 Sure, but those insane degenerates are present in every legion and just a consequence of chaos exposure. If you read all Night Lords novels available, even the ones not from Aaron Dembski Bowden, it clearly becomes apparent that they are strictly completely opposed to this kind of behaviour. In the current lore it's even gone as far that they are reunited as a full legion having excised these "corrupted" elements that do not follow their philosophy. I then feel that portraying a character that is just your run-of-the-mill chaos addled maniac is completely off the mark when trying to introduce the night lords faction to people that do not know it. Nothing in the roleplay had any specific significance to night lords, he might as well have been doing a reading for a fully corrupted emperor's children marine. Just hiding and scaring & torturing humans does NOT make a night lord. Their campaign of vengeance against the imperium, their ruthless utilitarianism and their philosophy of dark justice do.

Darryl Miller it’s only one take on them. So do get a second opinion. Some fans have pointed out I may have gotten them wrong. Which is possible. Nobody accept maybe Remliez, knows it all. Certainly not me. Thanks for watching. It is very appreciated indeed. :).

I listen to this, this genius. And I cannot help but think that this is EXACTLY what the Joker of DC Comics would act like if, Emperor forbid, he gained the power of a space marine, finding fun in the chaos and bloodshed of the galaxy, and finding new "friends" everywhere he goes

There’s not many people that could have pulled off a maniacal yet intelligent Night Lord, and you nailed it. My thanks for all of the content you’ve done, it’s a quality that is peerless for lore and perspective

I keep coming back to this video, somehow you captured the essence of the Night Lords with your voice acting, the intensity you had while performing shows how much you love the Warhammer 40k lore, a lot more people should know of your channel. Looking forward to more of your work.

Yes yes yes... Third listen... You complete the circle of 40K loremasters... What you have added to mix is much needed... I don't know how long it took you to find your presentation groove but you need to study yourself stick to this format! You filled a gap in the KZbin 40K lore group that is irreplaceable. A lot of it is the voice but I pretty much seen them all, I can see your format a bit. It's awesome and never dull... Breaking off into narrative between lore dialogue has great timing... Before it gets dull you back into Voice Acting thats pretty impeccable... Also... Of all the lore vid channels, you are the first to reply, respond, and advice.... That means a lot... Keep it up Baldermorts, so far so good... When I get up and running your comments will not be forgotten battle brother....

Baldermort once more you nail it this is dark and disturbing the way 40k and night lords should be your voice acting is on target as always listening to a 40k audiobook last night the guy reading it was sending me to sleep but hey i am only a punter and all you guys n girls who read these for our entertainment you do this out of your own time so bravo to you all you bring the 40k universe to life were for years 40k was all text and still life and its great to see and hear it in motion 👍

Secondly, I understand this is fan work and it is impressive, but I hope you find the confidence to do freelance work or grow your channel sufficiently that you achieve the same thing, you deserve it.
