Yup , my experience with veileds is you have to handle them alone or theyll never relax (even with their owner) they constantly servey the area and will GRILL people the dont trust/like. My baby veiled eyes me up but lets me hold him, but if my partner comes near or even moves within his peripheral vision he tries to run up my arm, sway with the non existent wind and flash his angry colors. Its hilarious because my partner loves him just as much as i do but my veiled has something against him 🤣🤣🤣🤣

I would love an episode about how to properly re-home pets that might turn invasive. I doubt much of his fan base would just turn an animal loose, but the more audience members who talk about this to friends, colleagues, etc, the more people will be aware of methods to keep our native species safe.

Its unfortunate, but he IS an invasive species. His existence in that environment messes with the balance of the ecosystem, causing food shortages for native species, which in turn leads to bigger trouble. Besides, he will be well fed and well taken care of in his new home and will educate lots of people so in the future we have fewer invasive species and more animals staying in their natural habitat

megalopolis2015 the reptile hobby is strong on representing captive breeding, not getting wild caught animals. They also help keep some species alive that would otherwise be extinct by now.
@megalopolis20156 жыл бұрын
I agree that there are good ways of going about it. However, merely going to my local pet store is no guarantee that the reptile was obtained through legal and reputable means. As always, these things require much research, consumer and expert reviews and tips on authenticity.
@jdssurf6 жыл бұрын
megalopolis2015 it’s easiest just to join forums and such to see who is breeding what, and your town should have clubs, and asking around through them you can find out what’s captive bred. Most cities have reptile expos too. Thousands upon thousands of reputable breeders out there. In the US most reptiles in the trade now are captive bred. Unless you are after something more unique.
@megalopolis20156 жыл бұрын
That's awesome information. Thank you.
@HaloWingProductions6 жыл бұрын
megalopolis2015 I would like to just add as a reptile keeper and animal lover that most of these animal invasions are due to irrisponsible pet owners which backlashes on people like me and those who take the time and effort to care for their animals, i just wish that more people were educated on proper animal care and how to be more responsible when considering, purchasing an exotic pet or other.

You are right in my backyard coyote good work on not hurting that chameleon as you removed it from the trees it's unfortunately there so in many invasive species here in Florida but with our environment being so condusive to just about all wildlife I've had 32 years of experience first-hand at the threat these different creatures possess. and educating people is by far the best thing we can do at this time because no one person can stop the spread of these animals but as a group we have a lot more power more power to you Brave Wilderness keep up the good work I will keep watching your videos.
