The Court of Owls and Night of the Owls story lines has to be one of the most underrated Batman story arcs. The atmosphere and reveals were all so keen on how Batman storytelling is, mystery and detective work. It had me guessing and wondering at every page. I saw the Court is to Batman as how Batman is to criminals. Batman actually became superstitious about their existence and the extent of their power. Paralleling criminals of Gotham's own view of the Batman. Even driving Batman almost to the brink of his own demise. But towards the end, it still held onto the lore of Batman, that every criminal is just a thug behind a gun, but in this case an owl mask.

I feel like it would be the best plot twist ever if we would have found out that Robin was actually a sleeper agent assassin. That whole thing towards the beginning with "some guy just coming up and getting scratched" seems like a copout, and could easily have been turned at the end, with Robin actually being a member of the court who could then slowly manipulate Batman into making decisions that benefit them until Batman was unknowingly working FOR them.

Cho0segoose Earth 2 I believe, the one with Ultraman and Johnny Quick... has a villain named Owlman, who is Bruce Wayne's brother, Thomas Wayne Junior. So now in New 52, The Court of Owls has Thomas Wayne Junior in it. It's not the same exact character, but this world's analogue. So to me this has a great deal to do with Owlman. But I will admit I don't know a great deal about DC.

This saga should be the Ben Affleck cinematic solo Batman arc, they'll already have the "Ultimate Batman Armour" from Dawn of Justice, they can then justify the existence of SOME OF the Batfamily (not all, primarily just Alfred, Nightwing, RedHood and Damien Wayne). It'll test Afflecks acting for when they go mad, and this arc would still fit with an older Batman, especially sending him mad as he thinks he knows all of Gotham.

Red Hood has been Suicide Squad once of twice randomly, but I think he would be good in the Cinematic SS. My SS roster would be Red Hood, Deadshot, Harley Quinn, Arsenal, Killer Frost and Killer Croc. I think Joker should be in Arkham and Quinn's "side plot" be to break him out, but no face shot of him, just a voice from behind the door. Red Hood, Arsenal and Killer Frost are all decent nods towards Batman/Robin, Green Arrow and Flash respectively.

And if they have power and influence in Gotham, its not a stretch if the villains in the Batman rogues (that are already established) could possibly have connections within the court. You might be right about the joker but he is just as mysterious as the court of owls. We all know the Jokers name, origins, and true motivations are a mystery. I just think it would make great detective work for Batman; and also other established villains could fit within future installments, if written well.

You're saying that there was someone who was going to become "Bruce Wayne" but then we find out later on when Bruce came back from his training, he was given a new persona? Years prior to the actual Night of the Owls, Alfred Pennyworth's father Jarvis Pennyworth writes a letter to his son, in a panic as he attempts to leave Wayne Manor, while unbeknownst to him, a figure stalks him as he leaves. In his letter to his son, Jarvis describes the manor as a cursed place, and despite his initial wishes, he wants nothing more for Alfred than to not begin his service under the Wayne family. He flashes back to a memory of Thomas Wayne and Martha Wayne talking, as Martha was none too pleased with a corrupt Mayor, saying something really needed to be done. As he nears the exit of the Manor, Jarvis' letter reads that he's hesitant to blame everything that is about to happen on Martha, as he knows in his heart that he is the one who has doomed them all. The gate to exit the manor is locked, as Jarvis' car crashes into it. He looks above to find a Talon, waiting for him.
