Regardless of how different the vocals sound on this song/album...I saw them this past summer and they put on a HELL of show and sound every bit as good as they used to with all the energy as well. Jack loves what he does...he does it for the complete joy of it...and I love him for that. Rock on Jack. Rock on Night Ranger.

***** That argument holds no weight. If everyone was only allowed to criticize things they could do, a lot of us could only criticize people's ability to sit in a computer and type while in a cubicle. So...next time you walk out of a theater and say, "That movie sucked."...it wouldn't make much sense for me to say, "Let's see you direct better"

This just isn't a good song. It's dated and uninspired. However their first single, High Road, was very current and to me, a very good song. Would work well on country radio acutally. A group like Florida Georgia line probably would have had a hit with it.

Not many say this only because he's not really THAT style, or flashy in the Neil Peart sense (different style anyway) but I literally learned the drums playing to Kelly in the first few albums, then ASIA, and ASIA Alpha (Carl Palmer), and DIO Holy Diver and Last in Line (V Appice) . I even turned my kit sideways and had my bands set the stage like NR though my bands they didn't know why I did this (I remember Stryper back then had a sideways kit too)......WHAT A GOOBER HUH? Hey I was still in JH and HS back then - almost graduated 1985 (and I didn't, but have since gone to med school so so much for that "diploma. huh?) and you DON'T get more '80's than that AND I was from LONG BEACH LA County and my gosh freinds what a time to be a kid and teen! I even married me a hot mini skirt wearing girl from the OC in 1990 and 28 years and 8 kids later I still have her fooled enough t0 be her man;-)AND she can still rock a mini skirt for a 49 yo grandma! We went to our first concert EVER together (other then she watches my top 40 bands) 2 years ago in Phoenix and guess who we saw......you said it NR........I still play drums more guitar out front these days but own 4 kits, and have kids playing. What a good life........

No Jeff Watson, SOB , looks like Fitz is there , thats not Mile Lardie I believe
@jgpeek834010 жыл бұрын
No its not Fitz. I did a double take at first. The new keyboardist looks a lot like him. His name is Eric Levy. The guitar player by Brad Gillis is Joel Hoekstra. I really liked him but after 7 years he left Night Ranger to join White Snake. Joel also plays with the Trans Siberian Orchestra. Keri Kelli will be Joel replacement.
@sab287110 жыл бұрын
Jenny Harris wow this new guy looks like Fitzy wow . Yes Hoekstra I'm familiar with him but still thought he was in the band although from this vid or another it seems they are a threesome again . Keri Kelly , never heard of him though. Hoekstra went to Whitesnake, I think he is with Doug Aldrich then ? Didn't know he was in Trans Siberian though. I saw a vid of a 2012 or 14 concert and Watson was there , was that just a appearance for the Hell of it ? . God I miss the original group , they really had their own sound thats for sure . Honestly this new song ain't bad but I'm not super wow'd by it . The first albums , Dawn Patrol , Midnight madness and 7 Wishs were really the templates to follow . Yes it is easier said than done , writing music is not easy but those albums seemed so much like " who they were " ! Seems like they are trying way to hard here to sound different and they sound just " ok " in terms of creativity . I love the group , love those three albums but I am feeling bad for them really . Somehow I always though Watson was a third wheel but say a vid about Gillis and it did seem apparent that Watson was more imporant than I thought. Watson is truely a " schooled guitarist and it seems like someone with a true understanding of how to write music might be what they need right now . They really got commerical on that 5th Album and 7 Wishs look like they were but there was still some good flare there , not a lousy album at all . Something is missing here and I think it is Watson and I'm finding it hard to believe they can not put together a album together which captures their " old selves " . Now I have not heard this new one in its entirety , have you and what are your thoughts ? There was a " darkness " to songs like , Night Ranger " , " Eddie's Comin out Tonight " , " Penny " , " Can't find me a Thrill " , that was the " gloomier side of the group and it is something they should embrace more so . To much of this " Interstate love Affair " , as good as the song is , there is this " glory boy , Cali boy " sound which can become like " The Beach boys " which is way to wholesome IMO . Not saying it is bad but it casts them in a certain light . Midnight Madness , Seven Wishs , Don't Tell me you love me . There are lots of other songs but I'm hitting on the " darker ones " . To much "goody goody " and they lose their " creds " . They can churn out these sounds really well and it has a certain " aura " to them , the Cali guys who look all " goody goody " arrousing " seedy thoughts , they should have done more of them ! This is from a early fan starting with Dawn Patrol right into Midnight Madness . Actually it was Can Still Rock In America " that got me but I had seen the " Don't tell me you love me vid " which I had seen earlier but was unsure about them really . Night Ranger is soooooooo under appreciated !!! Night Ranger - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Night_Ranger Night Ranger is an American rock band from San Francisco that gained popularity during the 1980s with a series of albums and singles. The band's first five ...

Love the song, but I gotta admit - when I watch the video I'm completely distracted by the fact that nobody's instruments are plugged in. Once I saw it, it's all I can see...
@adamcentamore74188 жыл бұрын
+Jack Johnson Ok, before I respond can we agree this ultimately is of no real importance? That we're debating the minutiae of a music video? I'm responding because I'm not 'living under a rock', and besides, it's kinda fun to bicker about unimportant stuff. If you're up for it, do me a favor. Pause the video at 22 seconds. It's a shot of the keyboardist. Look over his left shoulder. There's an amplifier rig, being driven by an EVH pre-amp. If you'll notice the far left black circle is the input jack. Notice how there's nothing attached to it? In fact, you don't even have to go through that much trouble. The keyboardist is playing an M Audio keyboard. Not only is the keyboard not connected to an amp, it's not even connected to a power source. You can clearly see every connection the instrument has, and not a one is being utilized. If that's too much of a pain, stop it at 1:15. If you don't have it handy, I'll help. It's a frame showing the bottom of the Gold Top Les Paul being played. Notice there's nothing plugged into the guitar jack? I'm a musician, and I'm familiar with wireless rigs. I've never encountered one that didn't need to even be connected to the instrument being played. That would be a first. Just sayin'.
@adamcentamore74188 жыл бұрын
+Jack Johnson Nope, not taking it as rude at all. All the wireless systems I've ever used had two pieces to them. The transmitter, which is a little black device about the size of a deck of cards that would clip to your belt or guitar strap and plug into the guitar (to acquire the signal). And the receiver, which was basically a small antenna connected to the input of your amplifier. You play, the output jack sends the signal to the transmitter and the receiver feeds it to the amplifier. And, in the spirit of fair disclosure, I'm older now and haven't played in a band for a while so maybe there's some way they can do it now, but I just can't see how you don't plug the instrument in somewhere. Like I said, ain't it fun talking about meaningless stuff? So much better than paying my bills online. :)

fuck, the old bands STILL play better rock then the new crap.
