Got some pretty bad jokes: What do you call a skybreaker who ran out of breath? Winded Navani found the perfect name for her new automobile invention. She called it the ElhoCar. Some of the singers voices got so hoarse, they couldn't speak anymore. Thats why they now call them the Listeners. What do you call the spren that wanted to become hematologists(blood specialists)? The Ghostbloods Navani also decided to start designing footwear. Shes named her newest model the RuShoe What do you call a cremling who woke up on the wrong side of the bed? Crabby

The thing about the dust line in the epigraph is its right before the chapter that Szeth reveals there is an Unmade in Shinovar. And what is the name of one of the few Unmade left to discover? The Dustmother Also the cliff death rattle everyone thinks refers to Szeth seeing Shinovar fall specifically says 'dust' in it

Answers about the sand that don't really contain spoilers but I'm treating them like they do anyway: The sand has a lichen on it that stores investiture and changes color when it does. It is related to the magic on white sand, yes.

Only 15 minutes in, but I was watching a video a week ago where Brandon had said that he renamed it to wind and truth, instead of knights of wind and truth, cause it fit better. Basically, the Wind is a big part of this book, but truth is just as big a part.

Kaladin is nervous about candles because Roshar has a higher oxygen content in the atmosphere than we're used to, making fire difficult to control.

29:18 I think you are overthinking it here. The stone of Urithiru is the Sibling itself, it is the Sibling's body and much like a shardblade it can manipulate it at will. The light imitates a sun roof because the light is actually investiture being converted into light and not actual sunlight (like a really bright yellow LED). The garden exists because of a similar reason. It's using investiture to fuel the growth of plants. They used stormlight to grow crops back in the day, towerlight is probably way more effective because lifelight is a component of it.

Bad Jokes Why did the Aviar run away from the Ghostblood? He was too chicken. Who is Tanavast’s favorite superhero? Storm The Stormfather doesn't seem himself. His attitude really stinks. I call that "Breaking Wind". There is creeper running around Roshar. Apparently, after the sun goes down, they are peeking into windows to observe you while you sleep. I get the feeling it might be the Night Watcher. What do you call a battle at Urithiru? Sibling Rivaly. What do you call a Listener who never skips leg day? Crab Cakes Adolin has mentioned that he has had several "accidents" during battle. Does that make him a Shart Bearer? What do you call someone who gets no spheres and has never seen a safehand? Jimmy.

In Brandon’s QA at FanX he mentioned how he had been writing one of the characters to make x decision at the end of WaT but ended up with the character making the opposite decision. I’m curious to figure out who this is? Maybe it’s Adolin with everyone suggesting he’s to be Odiums champion.
@jasonbailey91392 ай бұрын
Adolin becoming Odium's champion would destroy at least four lives: - Shallan: his unconditional love has helped her feel accepted and deal with her trauma - Kaladin: he's the only one since Tien who can naturally bring the bridge boy our of his deep depressions - Dalinar: would be wrecked if he had to kill his own son - Adolin: would be dead if he went up against the Blackthorn...though he is a better duelist, this will not be a duel. There will be twists, but I don't think it will be this one...but I'm wrong a lot... :D

It is a little sad that you guys didn't rereach RoW before WoT but I get it, it is a lot. So here is a recap on the Mink: - He came ot Hearthstone after having held back the Voidbringers in Herdaz for a long time without help from the coalition - He was rescued together with the rest of the village using the fourth bridge - He takes over as field general for the coalition from Dalinar who wants to focus on his Bondsmithing - Dalinar promises him to free Herdaz after Alethkar, which is why he included it in the contract - He was with Dalinar in Emul and led the fighting there

I feel like Honor is no longer Honor. Honor is supposed to be the Shard of Bonds and Oaths. But Stormfather and Dalinar bring up Unity, not Honor in their discussion. Perhaps the shard was split in two (similar to Virtuosity from Yumi and the Nightmare Painter). One part became Unity (related to Bonds) and the other one is related to Oaths splintered or something else has happened to it. The other outside possibility is that a Dawnshard (probably Change) was used at some point to change the Intent in some way, but it seems a bit unlikely
@DMRufio2 ай бұрын
Ooh I was thinking along these lines last night and thought Honor might be split into something like Loyalty and Honesty but Unity would be the obvious choice for one of them.

@@DMRufio I like Loyalty as an idea but I fell it might be too similar to Devotion. But yeah I was thinking something along the lines of obedience (similar to loyalty).

Holy shit the girl who looked up. The story was about a world in darkness in eternal night. With a wall of stone keeping the light and storms at bay. What if this is a literal story, Night had a land the stones protected. And then someone let the storm in and light and banished NIGHT away.
@Haxerous2 ай бұрын
Yeah, that was my first thought as well. The girl who looked up must be based on a true story, like Wander Sail and Fleet. I always thought it was about the departure of humans from Shinovar and the start of the desolations, but it is probably also linked to the Night vanishing. The humans did something during one of the early desolations that messed up all the ancient spren/forces of nature. As per the Sibling, the Stone wanted a legacy? Why was a legacy necessary? Something must have necessitated the creation of not only the Nightwatcher, but also the Sibling and the Stormfather.

Dalinar: I am you? Stormfather: Always have been. 🌏 👨🚀 🔫 👨🚀

Dumb theory: Crackly Susfather is Dalinar reaching out from the spiritual realm having an “I can save my brother!” moment, then he hears how Gavilar really feels about everything (maybe via Connection) and gets all upset and decides “fine then Jackass!”and doesn’t intervene. Then Cultivation shows up and says “Finally! You’re enough of a jerk to be a god.” Feel free to cut bits of that theory out until it resembles something you agree with.
@masalapeanutsАй бұрын
Just had a shower thought I wanted to add…. What if the susfather behavior is due to Honor’s power already affecting things? I mean is that why “he’s different from what he used to be” - the power is already affecting him because it has a mind of its own?

But Night isn't necessarily a bad thing or of Odium as far as we know. 'Night will reign' could refer to the old magic returning to Roshar. The Nightwatcher (Night) is also directly connected to Cultivation (Life) so perhaps Dalinar or Honor gets tricked by Cultivation instead of Odium
