james did supriosingly well on this song; he definitly needs to stay in the lower range as its where its the cards he has to work with now. would be a new take on some of the older songs

I’m sorry but practically none of the notes he sings are in tune… it’s ridiculous and a punch in the face to people buying tickets

I don't believe all the notes are out of tune, but some for sure...it's sad this happens even in the new song, I love James and respect what he did with the band, I'm old enough to remember him killing every high note live...but time passed and due to the problems he had his voice is no longer the same, it's a fact. I don't know like a 30-year member and friend can be replaced, maybe it's impossible and all the songs would sound just different...but they need a solution at least for the higher notes of the old songs, because he can't sing those anymore, and a playback track is an insult, whereas tuning down the song (or just singing a lower line) is not respectful of the song itself, not to mention the people who would like to hear its original notes sung live.

Dream Theater fan tiers- A)I love all of the members and all of the albums B) i love all of the albums and songs but i hate labries singing live C) i love everything about Dream Theater except the vocals and keyboardist, i wish they would just be instrumental only D) i love everything about dream theater up until Portnoy left E) i love everything after Portnoy, except the self tilted album, the astonishing, and some of "adtoe" , Mike Mangini is GOD F) I used to love dream theater until Kevin Moore Left and I stopped listening to them after 6 degrees... They are too repetitive so i just complain about it now every chance I get Look in the mirror my friend...Which tier are you?

Definitely F. And I consider my position S tier. Let me put it this way: I can listen to Images and Words, Awake, A change of Seasons and Scenes from a Memory without skipping any track and over and over again until my ear bleeds. Can't do the same with any other DT album.

Tens of thousands of dollars of musical equipment, signature instruments, amplification and tone chasing, lighting, sound engineering, tour logistics, flights, ticketing, advertising, time spent on meet and greets, only to sound like a high school band who've been playing their instruments for a month. James laBrie has one of the worst sounding voices I've ever heard, I'm confident in that he couldn't sing a major scale in tune. He is failing to sing the most rudimentary lines and melodies. Am I missing something here?

Kevin Moore left the band on his own accord..he wasn't forced out. He didn't like the direction the music was going, so if you like ANYTHING, ANYTHING post "Awake" than that means Kevin doesn't...why would he want to come back and play even more complicated and long winded songs like "octavarium" which is a MASTERPIECE, and Jordans playing on it is phenomenal BTW, the Continuum intro is a thing of beauty ESPECIALLY played live

The first three albums are light years apart from everything else they've written and don't even get me started on the masterturd that is Octacrapium. Jordan sounds more like an AI and cannot compare to the originality and soul of Kevin Moore.
