This is the burden of having people die for you. I think Levi has had this burden for a long time and intends to make sure their sacrifices weren't in vain. After a long time Levi probably got use to this feeling but continues to fight for those who gave their lives for him. Eren is now experiencing the same thing about having to carry the burden and wanting to cry however in the picture you see the soldiers are facing away from Eren and I see that as them knowing what they did was for the right thing. Eren tries to reach out but Levi pulls him away because in his eyes he believes that Eren must to make sure their sacrifices weren't in vain.

Just as helpless as he was before, being dragged away by another. They fought to save humanity, they were brave and fought back against the fear of the titans. They couldn't just die here, they had so much to live for, so much more. His vision blurred as the painful tears kept streaming down his face but for a split second, he thought he could see wings. "they've earned their wings of freedom," Levi said face overshadowed by his hair but still held a pain that was blatant to see. "Your death won't be in vain I swear!" eren said finally standing and looked to the man who had dragged him away. "they earned their wings along time ago".

This is still one of my favourite songs that I keep coming back to. I used to play it in the evenings I was alone. I would stand at my balcony, smoking, feeling the wind and listening. Is it twisted of me that I listen to this song just so that I could feel closer to my grandpa. And the reason why I think it is twisted is due to how my grandpa was in the army during WWII, Vietnam war, and Korean war. It isn't twisted at all. My grandpa worked for 2 branches in the military and my uncle still works for the air force. Now my brother wants to join the air force.
