I'm studying in Madrid in 10 days! I have a homestay (required by the program, which is language immersive). I specifically requested no children for this exact reason! My homestay is a single retired nurse who lives in an apartment alone, and she is apparently very sweet and motherly. Of course, I am nervous. Do you think that living with a single woman without children would have been a better experience for you?

When I was in high school I never did a study abroad because I don't know if my parents would approve it especially my mom. Now that I'm 38 years old I regretted to this day. Anyway what happened in Paris that your host Mama blocked you on Instagram ?

it’s never too late to travel!!! my host mom didn’t block me! my roommate did because before she found out i was her roommate, she thought i was just some random person following her on instagram 🤣
