Had a similar Problem with cam chain noise on my cbr, Turned out it was not the cam chain at all but the Small Crank to oil pump chain slapping the inside of the engine casing, you probably saw it when you had the bottom end apart mine had gouge marks on the inside of the casing giving it away, after replacement i have not had any noises since

To many chains in the 1980's CBR. I won't be doing anymore 1000F engine's. Lol. Glad you've sorted yours nice one .🏍️👍
