I've been binge watching a lot of these stories lately but known of them have creeped me out quite like the last one, it really resonated with me. About 3 years ago (my freshman year of highschool) I would hear the bushes rustling against my window even when it wasn't windy outside, or I'd here weird scraping noises that had to come from something much heavier than a bush branch or anything around the outside of my window. it would happen typically between the times of 11pm and 2am. Around this time also my cat had an obsession with string and he chewed off all the string holding my blinds together... so I had no blinds on my windows and my room was pink, so really inviting for whatever creep would happen to be walking by in our neighborhood. I was always creeped out by the noises but I've also always been a pretty paranoid person in my room, even before the noises started. I don't know what it is I've just always felt like I'm being watched in my room even when I was a little kid. I was getting a really bad vibe from it so I grabbed this ultra bright flashlight from my dad's garage to keep next to me during the night, and if I heard the scraping noise or the bush I would turn it on immediately at my window. If I used my phone camera it'd just reflect off the glass and wouldn't be bright enough to capture anything. I also only heard the noises a couple nights of the week so I'd just have to be prepared any night. I should also mention that my windows are about 9-10 feet above the ground because of our basement, so no one can just peer into my room without being quite a distance away or using something to stand on. Anyways the weekend came and I finally heard the noise again. I grabbed the flashlight, practically sprinted to my window and put the flashlight against the glass. all I could see was this bulky camera tied around a stick aimed straight into my window, I screamed and ran out of my window before I could see anyone. I Immediately ran to my older brother's room since he's the closest room in the house to mine and he rushed outside to see if he could see anyone. There was no one in our yard and no one down either sides of the streets and he told me I was just being paranoid. The next day I looked around my window and found a really thick and tall stick with a bunch of tape on it and I knew it was the same stick I saw wrapped around the camera from the day before but still neither my brother nor my dad believed me. While I don't hear noises around my room anymore, just a couple weeks ago someone started banging on my window. (again 3 years after I found that stick) and it scared the fucking shit out of me. I ran out of the house again and checked around my window and still nothing. My mom could even hear the banging this time but they still don't believe me when I say someone is outside my window. I started planting plants around the outside of my room just so I can have an excuse to check around my window every now and then more evidence of someone. I'm scared if Install a camera system or some kind of security outside my window my parents are going to be concerned with how paranoid I've been getting. They already are concerned about it. ugh. I almost want to find some stupid instagram page of me out there like this just so I can have SOME kind of without a doubt proof this is happening. just literally anything.

I’m so sorry you had to go through that. Since the incident, have you decided to install security cameras? I think it could help your case if you tell your family that you can prove it to them if you install cameras, and you’ll also have evidence to take to the police. I worry for your safety.. I know your cat bites strings, but I do think you should consider getting blinds (there are some styles without strings). Do you have an update? How are you? Is everything okay?
