Consider coating the floors with wood glue. It creates a thick layer on the plywood and protects it from oil/beer stains Taylor Ray did that and it worked great. And buy some fridge to have some cold Harnolds.

Loving the garage vibe guys, looks awesome. The sharp upstands you were pointing out, you could put a board up against It and create a large bench for sitting on along the back. That'd stop anyone from falling off also.

Use those extended pillars, put some pool noodle around them, and use a 5cm aluminum rod to extend to the ceiling. Then put a plexiglass or foam wall in for sound deadening and dust protection! Think of it as a tree house

Actually as a child I played a lot with Matchbox and other cars, but at the age when I did my drivers license I was not interested in cars at all. That was the time when Greg Herbold became the first ever world mountain bike downhill world champ. I was totally into mountain biking and worked multiple jobs in parallel to school to buy a replica of Greg‘s bike, a Miyata Ridge Runner S full suspension bike. It was ridiculously expensive in Germany. I could have easily bought a nice used motorcycle or car for the money. So I actually never dreamed of a garage. But I always dreamed of a proper work shop. The first thing you guys need are safety shoes and glasses. Haven’t you learned anything in the US? 😂Don’t dare to enter any shop without safety shoes and glasses! 😎 The next thing you need is a lathe and then a milling machine. These are actually the most important things that I would consider even more important than a (TIG) welder. But everyone have their preference!

Dig the garage update videos! I rate you cover the posts with foam and connect a backboard with some type of cushioning to the posts on the side closer to the wall so you have a something to lean against, almost like a headboard on a bed.

i suggest extending the upper level just one more so theres more room, adding another layer of wood to make it more stable, and rails for safety. then you can put the couch up there safely
