It really is. The shear amount of cameos alone add this sort of fake authenticity to it and it was genius the way they put it all together. One of the funniest movies ive ever seen for sure. Sadly most people i mention it to havnt even heard of it.

I think it was a mix of things. Marketing being at the forefront. For some people, advertising for this movie was everywhere, for some people it was nowhere. The studio kind of just assumed that Lonely Island being the stars of the film would be enough advertising. Which didn't work. Probably because when this movie came out, Lonely Island wasn't very prominent in pop culture. This movie also came out in the summer, at the same time as Me Before You, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and Suicide Squad. Even though this movie has better reviews than all of those other movies, they had a smaller amount of viewers.
