When I listen to this song....I get so happy!!! What's not to like!! Suzy...I love the expression on your face when you watch Nightwish!! I have always enjoyed my music a little on the heavy side....Jimi Hendrix was such a fabulous guitar player, and that voice of his was amazing. I was 8 years old listening to Jimi....1965!! Nightwish merges almost every genre of music into one.

I hope you reactors know those Nightwish lyrics and this title Alpenglow. Tuomas is genious making these songs. Definition (quote): Alpenglow is an atmospheric optical phenomenon which makes mountains appear to glow in a light pink or red hue. It occurs just after the Sun sets or just before it rises. It can happen anywhere where mountains. Not just Alps.

The alpenglow, as the whole album "Endless forms most beautiful" gave me a new life. It's a very special song. The melody, atmosphere and lyrics are the perfect combination, to be one of my favorite album of all time. After depresion, the strengh for a new begining and going on, it started all from this song/album. Thanks for this reaction :)

"Floor is always right." Hannes might disagree. :) Freja would definitely disagree. This song seems to amp up the band. Emppu goes by Floor and executes the classic gag of touching Floor's left arm while he is going right so she looks the wrong way. Troy flubs a couple of notes and Emppu gives him the horns afterward. In the Mexico City version, it's Emppu's turn to flub his solo and he gets this smirk on his face afterward. Every member of the band, even Kai, is singing "We Were Here." They just have fun on stage.
