This song is amazing, the way it starts so soft, with Floor's smile at the end, and then it comes in. Marko's voice with Floor's, and Emppu's perfect, melodic solo. What gets me every single time though is that key change, and the ride to the end. She's way, way up there, belting over and over for all she's worth and it sounds fantastic. Impossibly good - and Marko again, is right there with her. One of my favorites for sure.

The whole Wacken 2013 concert of Nightwish is one of the very few concerts that is at the very top of the live music spectrum. It's a masterclass where the stars align and real magic happens. Every song is a gem, even the instrumental one when Floor did a costume change. Also, if you do react to "Dead Boy's Poem" live from Buenos Aires you'll be in bits. Better get a full box of Kleenex ready.

" Ever Dream " is the sixth single by Finnish symphonic metal band Nightwish. Released as the first single from the band's fourth studio album, Century Child, it was the group's first single in two years, following " Deep Silent Complete " in 2000. Floor has said that this is one of the more challenging songs for her to sing. A Tarja era song from Century Child album of 2002. Floor and Tarja both did great on this song, but it's Marko's small part that really complete the song for me. Yes, the song ends quickly. Floor then says to the crowd. " I think it's time for a story. It's definitely Storytime" Everdream was the 5th song in the set, song #6 is Storytime.

The first time I heard "Ever Dream," it reminded me of a long lost love of mine......and the song from 1984 by Night Ranger, "When You Close Your Eyes." Of course, Floor kills it here, but I always look forward to reactions to Marko coming in, because he sounds so awesome, and it's a bit unexpected. Many of these clips from this show cut off at the end very abruptly. I don't think you missed anything, but yeah, it's not very satisfying when it cuts off immediately at the end, with no applause or anything. Not sure why they do that. Of course, this concert is best experienced in full, but I get why that's not necessarily practical here. Love your reactions! 🤟🫶

I thought I knew what to expect when I went to see them live.. But Floors stage presence, her aura is unreal, damn she's one of a kind!! There is one other witch gave me that wow-factor, and that is Devin Townsend. You should check him out. His voice is insane. He is a musical genius, also often referred to as the mad scientist of metal. He has put out nearly 30 albums. Kingdom from emgtv is a great one to start with him. Keep up the great work. Marco's departure is on par with Tarja leaving without the added drama, And it took Nightwish a few years to find a good replacement for their original singer Tarja in this case Floor. With Marco it will be the same his vocals will be hard to replace if it can be replaced at all. A lot of the Nightwish songs benefit from his voice and without it those songs will never be the same again.

Marko's loss is huge and it shows on stage, he just had "it". Troy doesn't even come close, you can find better singers in any ordinary pub on most weekends.

Troy is a fantastic instrumentalist and has a pleasant voice for accompaniment, but Marko has lead-singer skills. He is sorely missed. Floor and Marko singing together was magic. Nightwish needs a more powerful male voice for a good deal of their songs.

Not all Nightwish songs build in the same way, but they are all dynamite. Almost as if they tease you into thinking you can guess what they're about to do, and then they surprise you with something totally unexpected.

First time I heard Ever Dream might actually have been a cover - MoonSun's acoustic version (which is beautiful, but lacks the Marko effect). It was probably just about the other way round, though. I can't think why this clip is cut quite so short, there's actually a "thank you" from Floor afterwards and a reasonable break before the next song...

There is a better version that starts with Floor's spoken introduction in full, and ends properly after Floor's final note. The colouration is a bit off - quite yellow - and the quality looks a bit low with a bit of pixelation at full screen. Great reaction though.

It is sometimes hard to decide where to cut, because you can't cut mp4-videos on every frame (at least on every editing software). They need to be cut at keyframe, or you can mess up audio/video sync. With that said, my version is cut at better point...and it is much better quality in overall.

The song did finish there, it did cut abruptly. It's not a very good video in general, the audio and the video resolution is subpar. You also missed the introduction to the song by Floor as well. Is this the version that Gabriel listed to view? When searching for Nightwish videos at Wacken, use a search like - "nightwish wacken HD correct speed " It should get you the best quality version with the audio corrected at HD resolution. I'm enjoying your journey through Nightwish, they truly are a gift to mankind.

This version does cut off very quickly. that was the end, but it is nice to hear a little of the applause after the song ends.
