Hello I have some info on Floor Jansen for you here. She is married to Hannes Van Dahl, drummer of the Swedish power metal band Sabaton. Together they have a daughter and.....? ( Freja & ...? ) Floor Jansen is a soprano, with a range of more than 3 octaves (C3 to F6). Re-singing style ranges from opera to screams and grunts. She usually sings in English, in addition she has also sung songs in Dutch, German, Spanish, Finnish, Latin, Italian and Swedish. Jansen was the singer of the Dutch metal band After Forever from 1997 to early 2009. From 1999 she studied at the Rockacademie in Tilburg with classmates Jacqueline Govaert and Danny Vera, where she graduated in 2003. In addition to her activities at After Forever, she cool singing lessons. She plays guitar, piano and flute. On May 5, 2010, she presented her new band ReVamp, which was disbanded in September 2016. From 1 October 2012 Jansen replaced Anette Olzon as singer of Nightwish during the Imaginaerum World Tour. On October 9, 2013, it was announced that she would be the group's regular new front singer. In 2015, Nightwish released the album Endless Forms Most Beautiful with Jansen as lead singer. Nightwish's second studio album with Jansen as front singer, Human. :II: Nature., was released in April 2020. Greetings from the Netherlands.

They had two more shows after Wacken, then the tour would be over. The band had been on tour for a year and a half, changed singer mid tour and they all knew by then that Floor was the one. That's what all the smiles are about, the unity, they were a whole band again and the love from the fans, too. Also, this has definitely become the ultimate version of the song and Floor was giving it her best belting in this performance.

Dominique, don't apologize to the idiots. Anybody of quality loves you and everybody else doesn't matter. You are incredible, for you are passionate and appreciative, and most importantly, you love Nightwish. I'm a Southern California Nightwish foot soldier, and your Scottish accent is delightful. I have a bridge I wear (I'm an older guy) and do a lot of public speaking as a profession, and completely understand your dilemma. It took me a while to get back to my enunciation, on which I pride myself. Grew up having speech therapy because of an accent (which was traced to Northumberland - and which was researched for a source, and was ultimate undetermined). You are just great - so keep doing what you're doing and we will follow. Just pushed "subscribe" - so you've won me over!! Excellent reaction, I'll be watching in the future. BTW - Nightwish is better live for the very reason you mentioned - the LOVE they have for each other and the audience. I have never seen a band feed off of the energy of an audience better, and I have also never seen a band better at giving the audience their complete heart and soul through their music. Doesn't hurt that they have the greatest composer of my lifetime playing keyboards for them. Cheers, Sweetie!

@@themetalmuse You do great! Just let it go and know we're all behind you. The secret ingredient of this band is the immense love between them. Bands break up because of ego, yet there just isn't an ego in this band. They lift each other up, they allow the others to shine and take their turn. I believe it stems from Tuomas, who composes about 95% of the music, and drips with humility. You're just getting started, but trust me, each song becomes your favorite, because each song is genius. Rock on!!

Some fun facts. Floor was with the band less than a year in this concert. She started this tour as a fill in for the previous singer. The operatic part with the previous singer had to be done with backing tracks. Ignore the mean people you’re doing great. I do recommend wacken first Romanticide. One I would not do is I want my tears back do Buenos Aires 2019 for that! Also I recommend doing the music video for the song “noise”.

Mainecoons are just so vocal and his 3am opera, "the ballad of the eternally hungry cat" are just so intense. I should do a reaction of me listening to him yodel outside my door as he explores his meow repertoire. When he took to leaping with his full 12kgs from my wardrobe onto the pillow by my face he found himself banned from the bedroom at night. That's his party trick if I ignore him. But he's just so sweet, I am wrapped around his massive claws/paws.

The Nightwish Army is literally a world-wide group of great people of all ages, religions, ethnic backgrounds, and anything else you can think of, it is a truly inclusive group of lovely people. And we welcome everyone in, the only obligation there is to it, is having experienced a "Floorgasm", have that and you're in hehehe. And for the KZbin morality police, that is the only correct word to describe the experience of Nightwish performing live, if there is a better word, let us know, until then.. we'll keep using the only word that describes the feeling we all get when those melodies and vocal lines hit our ears and souls. (and it isnt sexual, it is spiritual!) And for The Metal Muse, dont worry about how you say things, or that you pause the video to let out some of your excitement, there will always be people who complain about that, eventho it isnt an important issue they get riled up about. First of all, pausing is what reactors usually do, so if they do not like that.. why are they watching reactions? Second of all, pronouncing names... sure it's fun if you/anyone can say the names correctly, sure.. but do we suddenly not know who Floor Jansen is, when someone says Floor Jensen? ofc not, that would be ridiculous, also.. some names are just freaking difficult to pronounce correctly, sometimes even for native speakers. I love your accent, Scotland is the home of my all-time favorite Comedian Sir Billy Connolly, so for me... keep that accent as juicy and thick as you allow yourself, because that is part of you and therefor a big part of your personality and charm, do not ever let others tell you how you should do your reactions on your channel, this is your world and we're invited to come take a look and have a bit of fun along the way, it's as simple as that, just be you :)

Pause when needed. We love to hear your comments. A Floorgasm is a loving reference to the goosebumps and body chills we all feel when experiencing this amazing band and the world class vocals of Floor Jansen. A frisson is technically a type of small skin orgasm, thus a "Floorgasm"! I love your Scottish accent. I love Scotland and have been there many times. Edinburgh is a fascinating and historic city. No worries about correct pronunciations. Some fans love Floor and the boys so much they want to give them the respect of how they pronounce their names. You are doing great. Ignore the hard cores. They don't mean it in a negative way. It is difficult to put yourself out there. You have to have a thick skin to ignore the criticism. This was a pinnacle performance for the band, considering that 10 months before, they were in the middle of a North American tour and had to fire their singer, and were actually questioning their future. In the midst of this chaos, they reached out to Floor Jansen and asked if she simply help them finish out the next two months of their tour. She signed on, learned an entire setlist in 48 hours, exceeded any expectations that any rational human could ever expect, and saved the tour - stayed on and was finally asked to become their permanent singer! That was literally weeks before this performance - that is what you are seeing in their faces and their smiles! They knew what they had become!!

Look up the set list for Wacken 2013 and just start from the top! There are no bad songs in there. If NW has made a bad song then they have never released it. Pausing is fine. If you have something to say then pause the video and talk. A quick comment without pausing is fine, but someone that talks and talks and talks over the video without pausing is annoying. Pausing the second that something cool happens without waiting for the cool thing to be over first is also annoying, I have seen too many youtubers do both. Don't worry about getting the names 100% correct, almost nobody does. You'll pick them up eventually.

As a fellow Scottish person, my life has never been the same since I discovered nightwish. Becoming a big fan of your reaction videos. Your accent is lovely, and I wouldn't worry about mispronouncing names or words. Everyone does. As you say, you're doing the best you can, and we know it. I guess my only (slightly negative) critique of your videos would be to possibly place your lovely self in one of the bottom corners of the frame rather than at the top. In the present location the heads of the band members are often hidden behind you. There's rarely anything at the bottom of the screen that can't be momentarily hidden from view. Anyway - so glad you are loving Nightwish and seem ready to dive deep into the rabbit hole. I would definitely recommend the set opener, "Dark Chest of Wonders". That's a real banger!

The song that made me fall in love with Nightwish and decide it was my life's duty to go see them. I love this song and it is easily my favorite. The chorus is one of the most amazing I have ever heard in any song. I love the energy in this performance, the lyrics, the classical part in the middle, and that finish! It doesn't get much better than that. You've got the hair to do Floor's Dutch Windmill - it's almost exactly the same! Granted, neck flexibility and muscles haha. Working on my hair, letting it grow long again - it's just down past my shoulders again. Don't worry about pausing. I honestly don't understand some people - it's a reaction video - it's always fun to see what you have to say if you want to say something. You're awesome! Have I mentioned Lovebites to you before? I must have, considering you're focusing on metal. When you're done going down the Nightwish rabbit hole, check out Lovebites. As much as I love Nightwish and Floor, I love Lovebites at least as much or more (how's that for cadence and a rhyme? lol). My favorite band. It's more their talent and technical brilliance, and they're a bit heavier. Asami doesn't compare directly to Floor, but I love them both. Asami has a lot of power and does her thing. Trying to go see them in Japan, but could not get concert tickets for them this year. Crazy hard. I recommend the usual reaction starting place for them: Holy War, live at Zepp 2020, but the rabbit hole is really deep, and amazing: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mJikqaN7paqWpNE Edit: Kind of changing my mind. Holy War is the go to first reaction, but maybe try Edge of the World kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKOcanVqh9uUg8U coming from Nightwish. I don't know - everything of theirs is amazing!

One of the things that makes this performance so special is that these songs were not only not written for Floor but they were learned by her only days before this tour started. I would suggest you watch the show opener "Dark Chest of Wonders" to get a FULL blast of their energy, and the perfect example of the way to open a show. Most of the crowd had never heard Floor with Nightwish at that point, she had been with them less than a year (10 months or so, I think)...I think the entire crowd became an INSTANT fan of her as the frontwoman. As far as pausing...MOST Nightwish fans are perfectly fine with pausing. We are here to hear YOUR impressions of the band/song. If people are chapped with pausing, they should just avoid reaction channels and watch the vidoes directly from the Band's channel. That being said, there are better and worse places to pause...the middle of Floor singing a verse, for example, probably not the best choice of pause points...

Welcome, to Nightwish. :) Here is my list for you......but first..... Floor Jansen (pronounced Yansen) who is actually Dutch and the 3rd of the bands lead singers. "Ever Dream" is probably the next logical step. Perhaps "Romanticide". But really, any song from Wacken - they're all equally good. And then if you want a break from Wacken, there's "I want my tears back" from Buenos Aires 2016. If you want a slower, quieter song for a change, try "Sleeping Sun" either from Tampere 2015 or the Masters of Rock 2016 - both are great. You can't go wrong with any song from them. On the subject of pausing your video, personally, I have no issue with people pausing the video if they have something they want to say. I do find when someone pauses every 20 seconds, or just keeps pausing to say "wow" or "hey, she can sing!", adding nothing to their "reaction", then I switch off. But from what I've seen, your pauses are totally fine. Greetings from the north of Wales, btw. I'm not sure whether or not I can be classed as part of the Army yet, but I'd certainly be fighting on their side... 😆
