How appropriate that Tuomas’ first ‘gift to Floor’ should be such a happy bounce along song. And that video. Even by Floor’s standards, doesn’t she look absolutely gorgeous in that 1940’ s outfit/hair. If you want another Nightwish video, can I suggest ByeBye Beautiful. An Anette song, part of the Tarja break up trilogy where Toumas has the whole group turned into ravishing beauties ( to match Anette, who is very pretty to start with).

I recently learnt from an interview by Floor that she uses this song for warming up and practicing her pipes, because it is so smooth. Thanks for playing the Official Music Video...I just love this song, and this video!! This video just makes me wish I could be in that Pub, listening and dancing to this song! This song was also the first song Tuomas wrote to match Floors voice....and of course he wrote a beautiful song! I can listen to this song over and over... Thank you for making my night! Hello you two! great reaction as always, cant believe you´ve already done all the live ones.. wacken 2013, wacken 2018, Tampere 2015, Buenos aires 2018, the new ones of this year, pinkfest, hellfest and deitracht, and going farther there are "end of and era" and "from wishes to eternity" both with tarja, Nightwish has that magic in live performances you should stick with those till there´s no more, and then also do the studio ones everything from them is a gift, keep enjoying them and rocking and stay safe

This is such a beautiful, yet underrated song, this is the first one specially written for Floor's vocals, the video is so charming, and yet, when they play it live, people don't seem that excited to listen to it, like with some others. Btw this beautiful storyline inspired me to write a story after a long hiatus, I've been a writer for over a decade but around six years ago, I fell into a deep depression that made me stop, until I rediscovered Nightwish, and their music revived my muse, sort of speak

You should check out Last of the Wilds which is the song played at the end for few seconds after Élan. Not too many reactions to that since it's an instrumental but a great one none the less. Although there is also a version sung in Finnish called Erämaan Viimeinen.

Elan...the perfect Feel Good Song ! And we agree...Floor looks really good on this one..... A house of Cards from a worn out deck....the lyrics.....Tuomas knows how to do it....and Floor can even sing a Phonebook to make it sound good (well she did that really in the meantime)... Although I prefer always the LIve Videos above all the other stuff...this is a gooooood one. As this is sort of mellow-happy.......can we have a more happy / harder one next ?! What about "Song of Myself" from Wacken 2013 ? All Hail Queen Floor !

i can highly recommend Nightwish Kinslayer and Slaying the dreamer - its a big contrast to Élan, from a different Nightwish era. Try the buenos aires 2019 version and you wont be disappointed also the Floor Jansen content from amsterdam 2022 could be a optimal follow-up

Kinslayer is absolutely top notch song and the original with Tarja is wonderful. I don't think the music which was "tailor made" for Tarja fits Floor very well, and vice-versa.

The only song where I might prefer the studio version is Shoemaker. Live version is great as well but for some reason I prefer the studio version. For all other songs, if you listen to Nightwish and Floor, live is the way to go. :) (There’s also a great live version of While your lips are still red with Floor. ;) ) I really like your reactions because they always feel genuine. Nightwish doesn't do a lot of music videos but they are very well done. One exception is their latest album which came out just before the pandemic. Since they couldn't tour in support of the album they made lyric videos for all the songs except for Noise which they did a full blown music video for. Noise, Music, Shoemaker are all great music videos. Amaranthe with Annette and Nemo, Wish I had Your Angel, and Sleeping Sun (the one with the medieval battle scene) with Tarja are all great vieos as well.

Liliac is a band of 5 siblings, 3 brothers and 2 sisters, currently aged 13 - 22.. They do insanely good covers/tributes of old school rock and metal, and some kickass originals aswell.. Fiercly independant, they do everything themselves, filming, editing etc. Song suggestions : Covers - Holy Diver, Piece of my Heart (live), The Trooper Originals - Nothing, Mars (live), Sail Away.

Poetry should be ambiguous and let the reader or listener decide for themselves the interpretation. However, sometimes that can be quite confusing for more complicated poems. Setting the poems to music, can either narrow, or even broaden the meanings. Music videos, I generally think, narrow the interpretations so that those who are overwhelmed trying to find the meaning have a good starting point. If you read the lyrics without the music, you might find an interpretation (or more) that the music obscures. Likewise, when listening without the video, there can be other feelings and understandings you get. This is the beauty of the Nightwish and other great artists.

Music or art can have élan, and so can someone's wardrobe. Élan can also mean zeal or eagerness in favor of a person or cause. So don't let this boring sounding noun fool you. Élan has a lot of pizazz up its sleeve. Did you notice how all of the hard working common people were at first puzzled about who these musician were? Then they gave in and felt the joy that Nightwish brought into their dreary lives of hard labor. They were filled with Élan! ☺

In all honesty the reason most people ask for live is because there are very few music videos featuring Floor and they prefer her voice even on songs written for Tarja and Anette although maybe watch Bye Bye Beautiful with Anette as it is no longer performed and never by Floor.
