Man, it strikes me how poisonous is the sum of all this facts: 1.-The question of the interview. 2.- Their Answer (esp. tuomas). 3.- And the retarded comments of the people (which are the worst tbh.) 1.- The interviewer is obviously aware that both, tarja and anette are/were currently on finnish television and more precisely into that type of reality shows (The Voice and Tahdet Tahdet) the bait is on. 2.- Tuomas answer surprises me tho, most of us think the same of this shows YET it seems he has forgotten how eager he was to made it into the "eurovision" contest and whatever were his reasons back then, that format is no different to that of "the voice" or similars where the main goal sums into "recognizement and fame" as they put it. As for marco there's videos of him performing "Bad romance" into that type of shows, so he's obviously not that "against of" or at least not enough to go and make a public apa. perhaps he even got some profit of it. (And there it is.. the answer the interviewer was hoping, an honest heartfelt like answer, yet a passive aggressive statement towards their ex singers). 3.- "Slap in the face to Tarja! Ha...." the "fan wrote". Interview status: ACHIEVED.

Robsterry Amos yeah, interesting that he was so eager to compete in eurovision, whereas Tarja was relieved when they lost because she didn't want to be known for that. It does seem like the question was designed to be incendiary. But they do bring up pretty valid points.

Each episode revolves around one of them, and the other singers sort of honor them by covering a song of that person, or a song that means a lot to that person. There's no prize to win or anything. +Anony - Mouse Most people who get into music never become famous or they are very modest about it. That was Floors point. If you are getting into it because of the music great. If you are getting into it to be famous. Well I'm sorry but not ever one can be U2, or Elvia Presley. For most singers or bands they are lucky to even get a fan base in there own home town if even that. If they do then the best ones are those who are modest about it and are in it for the music. I will put to you this way. Kid Rock once said people want to be rock stars for the money and the girls. That's not really true if you are starting up a band like Nightwish, or Arch Enemy. They are starting it up for there love of music. If they get ever thing else that comes with it great. If not they are still doing what they love.
@Alderbeck
@Alderbeck 8 жыл бұрын
No I do not agree they do it for fame. Freedom is actually a price you pay for fame. Led Zeppelin said that they had a couple of albums out and they were the most famous group in the world but no one recognised them for a good while which was great while it lasted. The Beatles, the stones and many more took themselves off to the far east to escape the fame side. Some people have actually stopped what they love doing because they hated the fame aspect and some even committed suicide. The celebrity worshippers who try to sing or play to get FAMOUS are making a big mistake and that is what Floor is saying. Also there are a lot of singers and musicians who stated that they are not bothered that the fame went away, they just like making the music. Mark Knopfler is one.
@stefanl5183

"Dont these musicians, actors or most of the people in general do what they do to become famous and be recognized by their talent?? " Absolutely! And anyone who says otherwise is either extremely naive, has no understanding whatsoever of human nature, or is just a flat out liar. And as you hinted at, it's not just musicians and actors. Take sports for example, are the likes of Tom Brady and Peyton manning the result of simply loving to play football. Surely that's a necessity but is that all the motivation needed to compel someone to strive to reach that level of performance and excellence in what they do or does it take the extra motivation that comes from that dream of one day being the one who throws that superbowl winning pass that billions of people all around the world are watching and cheering about? Everyone wants to be recognized for their hard work and achievement and those who strive to be the best of the best want it even more and ultimately that's what motivates them to perform at the level necessary to achieve it.

So, i'm bitter and jealous as hell of these ladies like Carrie Underwood who get to take a short cut by appearing on one of these shows. It just isn't fair, damn it." Folks, the bottom line here is this is entertainment. Music is entertainment. TV is entertainment. So, are most sport. Anything that's a spectator sport is entertainment. When Tom Brady throws that superbowl winning touchdown, does it generate any durable goods or captial? No, but it provides millions of people watching all around the world a memorable experience. That's what it's all about whether it's a song on a CD, a live performance, a football game, an automobile race, or even an appearance on a TV show. As Jon Bon Jovi said you wanna make a memory, You want to steal a piece of time. Or if you prefer the words of Shakespeare "All the world's a stage". tuomas certainly understands that as he wrote a huge drama play in October 2005 that played out for several years afterward and he certainly reaped financial benefit from it.
