Jonathan Esaú Ruiz Islas prob cause shao kahn injured Lui Kang’s PAST self, and revenant is his future self. And since there is a revenant Nightwolf, Nightwolf must’ve been summoned back to life by Kronika as well. I don’t think hurting a revenant will affect their past self cause y’know, it’s their future. Like here’s an example, if you kill your past self you die. But if you kill your future self, you won’t.

Technically, he only killed her the first time around by killing himself in the process, and his revenant didn't get to finish Shang Tsung off. Nightwolf is a badass, but he's not god-tier. Sindel also only died to his suicide move AFTER killing or wounding about 15 different heroes in MK9 on her own. She's arguably the strongest character across all the games.
