There are 3 scenes of pure cinematic joy in Django: "the Hildi whiplash" flashback, the "entering Candieland" and the "candles being lit" & all of those are shot and edited on basis of the music being played in the background. All of the three are the work of an already grown and fullblooded filmmaker but the Candiland one, with this piece, is the genius one. Timed and executed perfectly it is maybe one of the best third act introduction and character establishing scenes in movie history.

Ive never seen the scores original film, but I was 100% positive that legendary composer Jerry Goldsmith composed this when I heard it. His style is very distinctive, the instrument that he uses to mimic the vocals in First Bloods chorus "it's a long road", (a Trumpet I think), It is so distinctive, a lot of his work could be placed in a Rambo movie and work.

agree 100%....the emotion captured in the hilde flashback scene, where they are running across the field is heartbreaking. And you can feel the dread the tension as this music plays as they approach Candieland....amazing movie

Originally from the "Under Fire" soundtrack! Morricone - need I say more? Great tune!

This is what happens when you "dont" come up with 5 movies a year with a predictable boring story and weak performances just to milk the cash cow...a masterpiece..

I maybe crazy, but I feel like this tune wouldn't be out of place on a Donkey Kong country game. Has a cool, unique sound to it.

Haha, I thought the same thing! But I think it's too sophisticated and non-video game sounding to really fit on a DKC game. It's part of a movie score, after all. :)

Eine wunderschöne Melodie und Komposition, die einem nicht mehr aus dem Kopf geht und eine Magie wie der Bolero entfaltet.
