Completing WMXIX Revenge Mode! (Part 1 of 3)

WWE WrestleMania XIX for the Nintendo GameCube did not feature a conventional story mode, but instead would focus on a unique game mode called Revenge. In this mode you are to complete a series of tasks dished out by Stephanie McMahon in a plot to ruin WrestleMania XIX. In this 3 part video I will take on this entire mode and all of its frustrating missions.

Ah, WrestleMania XIX on the GameCube. This was one HELL of a game. I swear I played the ever living shit out of it with my brother and cousins growing up. And while like many others, we would’ve preferred a regular career mode for this game, we enjoyed Revenge mode for how silly and unique it is. It’s not the best, but it’s all silly fun, and we need more silly stuff in our games nowadays. Thanks for providing insane nostalgia, homie.🙂👍

Revenge Mode certainly was something different, and unique. But still, it did have its flaws, mainly as it was no career mode. To quote you in your XIX review from 2014: "It did P'O a lot of people". At least Yuke's changed it with Day of Reckoning and brought along a story mode.

Having a beat-em-up in a wrestling game is a fun idea (it's pro wrestling, it's not supposed to be realistic or overly serious), would be cool to see something like that in 2K23. Thank you buddy! 😊

Hi Nick! How is it going? I was re-watching your Twisted Metal series review, so much nostalgia! I wish Sonny allowed and a good developer actually decided do make a new one. About this mode, it would be nice to have a proper "beat em up + wrestling" game or game mode, where you keep moving forward beating mobs like classic beat em ups but with wrestling games mechanics and gameplay.

Been binging since yesterday as I said. And finally got to you playing my favorite game I wish you did these live or if they were I was there. But I’ll see how long it takes for you to realize through the rest of these that once they’re in danger all the moves like that chokeslam throw straight of or any strong hits near the edge like when that guy got bumped by the Irish whip pullback. You did great for having no memory of the mode. I’m one of the weirdos who bought me and all my friends GameCubes memory cards and this plus day of reckoning 2 in like 2015-16 and we still bring it’ll our memory cards over and play revenge matches with customs

Dude. YEEEESS. I could never beat it as a kid, havent tried as an adult. So pumped to watch this! Lobbing guys off ledges onto cars never gets old. Go straight for the kill for sure, but theres a 50ft tall platform you can climb in construction which is awfully fun to waste time on.

I loved this game as a kid too, one of my favorite Gamecube games. I never could beat the Mall areas because i never could make them bleed and the time would always run out before i could.

I never got to play this as I only had PlayStations. It’s a shame though, would’ve loved to play this or Day of Reckoning. Also funny how it’s using the soundtrack from Here Comes the Pain.

Haven't been able to watch all of this yet but what I've seen has been entertaining and I'd love to see more. Also yeah in Day Of Reckoning 1 and 2 the C stick is used for targeting. However in this game during Revenge Mode and if you unlocked the Revenge camera for exhibition the C-Stick is used to actually move the camera so the angle isn't always top down, it's a free camera. Idk if you figure it out eventually but I thought I'd give you a heads up.

You want me to throw some advice? When you're unleashing your special move by doing your long special pose. You can simply press B while you're doing your pose, it is especially beneficial when there are opponents right next to you where you can hit them. It is possible you can run away from or grapple your opponents. But for the most part, pressing B has been beneficial and creates more opportunities for performing finishers towards opponents.

I was playing this game in march. Way harder then I remember. Especially that level when you have to get to the top of the construction site.

@@NikateeN Yeah I almost rage quit a few times cause some of the brutal level design. But I love the concept so much that I stuck with it. If a wwe game brings this back they should offer some difficulty levels and a different control style seperate from the normal ring wrestling.

This Is the only GC WWE game apart from crush hour I don't own X8 was not great but not unplayable, worth playing as the last WWF game this improved on that and let you murder construction workers DOR1 was a lite version of SVR DOR2 was the best on the gamecube
