Have to see it from different perspectives and preferences. On one side you got the the lighter get the job type shoe in the Kyrie 7, while the other is the more padded, “premium” material shoe in the Kyrie 6 Also the Kyrie 6 strap may not be too effective but it held down my laces for me after tying them and the strap looks pretty clean in almost all colorways. Glad there wasnt a price upgrade from the 6 to the 7 because honestly they didnt upgrade anything besides thinning the shoe out which can be seen as a downgrade to others

I tried to buy the creator colorway and have been ready to get the shoe on release day but I couldn’t order them at 10am when I’m at work on a Fri. By the time I was done with work on Friday they were sold out of my size...and this time I’m not paying the $65 up change via StockX or other 3rd pty. Only thing I didn’t like about this shoe the Hendrix creator was the black rubber outsole.

@@JulianGreenupMusic yeah man, I got the kd 13's. and they are really good, especially the cushioning. I haven't had any issues with ancle support so far. They run a bit small though, so order half a size bigger

Cheaper materials, worse cushioning, forefoot material doesn't lockdown as much due to flexible material and it's much tighter so you have to go like a full size up which will cause a lot of toe space. The sole is the main part for me. The bottom of the 7s are super flat now whereas the 6s were curved (as said in the video). IDK what it is but that's kind of the magic of the 6s. For me, because of the curvature of the bottom, it prevents you from rolling your ankle so you can do crazy shifty shit without fear of injury. I feel like I'm one rebound/misstep away from rolling my ankle in the 7s cause the soles are just so flat creating a hard 90 degree angle at the edge of the soles. I felt like the 6s didn't have that tipping point that would cause you to roll your ankle because of the curvature. Maybe it's just cause I'm spoiled with the 6s now. The materials overall though feel like a downgrade. Only upside of the 7s is the thicker rubber so traction lasts longer.
