I like these 100% better than the Fly-Knit 3 which is stiff and heavy. They are wider, move so much better AND are far more comfortable. If you actually move in different planes of motion in your workouts it blows the Fly-Knit 3 AWAY! A lot of freedom for your foot to move.

This is pretty disconcerting. I'm already not wild about running in my Metcon 4s.
@nKrandom5 жыл бұрын
@@LightningGentleman Haha not at all - I bought my Metcon 4s mainly for strenght training (anything except of squats and bench press) and for me the could be flatter and less cushioning (at the balls of the foot). The problem is I love them because my feet are extremly narrow - but the Metcon Sport obviously have have a extremely wide toebox...
@sonsauvage4 жыл бұрын
I just wish they combined the strap with laces. I'm not comfortable with just having a strap locking me down and I worry about the durability of the strap and velcro, but they fit well. Toe box is wide as *FUCK* but it works despite me having narrow feet. I have to crank the strap though. For now I still prefer the flyknit 3's for training. I don't do crossfit or run in my metcons though, I only lift and skip rope so take that as you will

As Many Reviews As Possible hence the word “sport”. Why do you think it has somewhat of a turf bottom? Why would Metcon make a cheaper shoe for the same purpose? Lol
@AMRAP5 жыл бұрын
@@Pelon5211 Why wouldn't they? They did that with the Metcon Repper and since haven't had another shoe to fill in the $100 mark to compete with Reebok's Speed TR. Anything that has the "Metcon" name is designed around being able to be used as a CrossFit shoe first, which is what makes them so versatile to use for other forms of training. Metcon (metabolic conditioning) is a term coined by CrossFit, but is Nike's way to brand their "CrossFit" shoes without being licensed.

@@Pelon5211 STABILITY TO LIFT HEAVY AND CUT HARD. The Nike Metcon Sport is designed for heavy weightlifting like all Metcons, but is updated for increased agility during explosive movements and speed drills. Benefits Strap provides midfoot containment you can customize. Stretchy sleeve lets you slip the shoe on and off easily. Mesh vamp has a textured look and feel. Drop-in midsole features raised sides to enhance lateral stability. Synthetic skins around the toe and heel add durability. Rubber outsole is flat for stability during heavy weightlifting. Aggressive traction pattern enhances grip for speed and agility moves, even on turf.

Are all crossfit exercises in the sagittal plane? You guys NEVER rotate or move laterally under load with locomotion and level change? If so, you're ignoring 2 of the 3 planes human beings are designed to move in. To each his own, but I don't see how that could possibly be a "functional" workout. I mean, we have to rotate just to walk. Contralateral reciprocation is nowhere to be found in these workouts. So you have no idea how these shoes you're reviewing perform outside of the sagittal plane? WHAT am I missing here?
