I’m going to say it now after the last few video drops.. I listen to quite a few running shoe review channels and hands down Nick is the best and most informative shoe reviewer out there! I got the Mach X2 following his reviews and if you’re lucky like me on the heel, then it’s an amazing shoe.

Yep, Nick is a fantastic reviewer and I really appreciate his assessments of new shoes. The other reviewer worth watching for detailed, real run-tested reviews is Yowana. Make sure you have lots of time when you watch, as his reviews are long vlogs, but they’re incredibly informative and entertaining. The community and shoe marketplace he’s set up on his Supwell app is also excellent!

Agree! When you find a reviewer that has the same taste as you it's helpful! The shoes he loves are the same ones I do, and same for the ones he doesn't love.

Recently got the ZF6, have ran in them a few times now, with a 21.1km run @ 3:47min/km and found them very smooth and comfortable. They're deceptively fast too - checked a few of my splits during the run today and was surprised at the pace vs my perceived effort. At this rate, they will definitely become one of, if not, my favourite super trainer that I've owned! Very happy with my purchase!

Mach x 2 is the most versatile shoes I have ever owned. You can run all out intervals on track, marathon long runs, tempo runs... Just a very snug fit, but if you have narrow feet they are perfect

I have the ZF6 and I'm really enjoying the shoe so far-it's definitely capable on faster paces. However, after watching the review, I had to order the Mach X2. I've been looking for a shoe for interval training and I want that extra speed🚀

How was the comparison now that you have both and what has more speed and retained comfort? Do you use them now for more different running applications? Thanks!

So im planning to get a wide also. I'm normally a 10.5 but I usually go 11 or 11.5. Which should I get for the wide option, is 11 enough or should I pick 11.5? Thanks :)

Hey Nick, any issues with ZF6 and being a heel striker, the cut off at the back looks sharper than most these days and doesn't look that suited for heel striking?

Just got the ZF6 and it’s my first plated shoe. Got 1 run in them and I was FLYING, I couldn’t believe the pace I had vs the effort I was putting into the run. However, they seem to hurt the internal side of my left foot. Not terribly but it’s uncomfortable for sure, just hoping I’ll get used to it eventually.

The two shoes I'm trying to decide between for my next purchase. I'm a heel striker and can blow through a shoes heal rubber in a month or two,, wondering which shoe between these two would offer better durability outersole wise?
@plantwateringcitizen87872 ай бұрын
Yes, as a stubborn heel striker myself I know what you mean when it comes to destroying shoe heels in a month or two. Truly, I've come to believe that the amount of hard rubber doesn't really tell you that much. The Rincon 2, supposedly one the worst shoes ever durability-wise, with an outsole consisting largely of exposed EVA, turned out lasting hundreds of km's more than any other shoe i've had. Why, I don't know, perhaps it's because the turn over in that shoe is so fast that you don't have much time to put stress on the heel. Bottom line: it's really tricky and I think individual running mechanics matter... a lot.
@andyp25442 ай бұрын
@plantwateringcitizen8787 well I've got a pair of unused Saucony Kinvara Pro's sitting on the floor in my bedroom, been a little reluctant to use them due to the fact that they don't have any rubber at all on the sole,, shouldn't have purchased them at all but they were a good deal at the time, will be interesting to see how they go. Best shoe I've had lately have been to pair of Puma Velocity Nitro 3's, which probably have 500 or so kilometres in them and are still going strong, also run in a pair of Adidas Boston 12's, which did around 350km before the rubber on the outside heel was through to the foam, had a pair of Saucony Endorphin Speed 3's, they only lasted maybe 300km before the heal was worn through. Have a lot more luck with my trail shoes, got maybe 1000km out of a pair of Salomon S/Lab Ultra 3's, still use them now if my trail run involves a bit of road running along the way, guess that's one of the advantages of running on dirt, your shoes just don't wear out nearly as quickly.
@plantwateringcitizen8787Ай бұрын
@@andyp2544 100% "durability science' (if there's such a thing) there's something really counterintuitive to it. I do very very little trail running but I'm with you there, I've had these Mafate Speed 2 for the longest time, they appear to be indestructible!

Ultimately, the Mach X2 has such a crappy fit on me that the ZF6 would be the winner on that alone. However, I have actually also been really enjoying the ZF6, so it does win on merit as well as fit for me.
