Mr. Lauda was and always will be an example of what a genuine human being truly is. In world that is filled with people that are always looking to hear what they want to hear rather than be presented with the truth along with brutal honesty, this man gives us all an example of how things should be approached in life. Niki was always himself, he was not trying to be an actor as most people in this stage known as life. The final stage of a man according to Shakespere is the return to a child like state and I totally agree but there are a few exceptions along the way and Niki Lauda is one of them. I cherish any footage of this man being interviewed. Rest in peace Niki. You may not have had any friends around you in the end, yet I bet you were surrounded by many that loved you when you passed on. I do know for a fact you were immediately challenged in the after life to a race in the cosmos by your true friend James Hunt. Death is not the end, it is the beginning of an unknown to an unknown place, with no real destination as the soul takes on a journey through the infinite pages of time. I wish all people the best in life and hope we all can come together as one in the near future. The universe is electric energy powering the unknown and that is a beautiful thing if you think about it.

@nielsbohr6903
@nielsbohr6903 7 жыл бұрын
I noticed that as well and before we jump to the "he is a racist" conclusion lets take a chill pill and analyse that sentence in the context he is using it. That context is the phenomenon that state-airlines need not any competition, since the state itself issues licences for commercial airlines, thus if the state have their own airline, they can decline to issue any other licences and keep a monopoly. This is the context of the sentence. Now, granted I know very little about airlines in the Middle-East but from the lenient research I've done, the state-monopoly is not rare at all. Look at Bahrain, Kuwait, Emirates and Etihad. All of them controlled by the state, so say I lived in Bahrain and wanted to create competition with the state-sanctioned airline, guess what, they would not give me a licence, so the state can keep the monopoly. The area of the world where this phenomenon is prevalent in 2017 is in the East. This is not prejudices, nor racists but a fact. Go back some decades and the same shit was happening in Europe and the US. Interestingly enough, my country has a state-airline BUT they issue licenses to whomever wish to create competition. That is the difference and the thing Lauda alluded to, I think. So lets give Mr. Lauda the benefit of the doubt and not put too much into the sentence he uttered. In the context I just analysed, he makes complete sense.

@nielsbohr6903
@nielsbohr6903 7 жыл бұрын
I took the liberty to interpret y1521t21b5 sentence. You are free to do the same. Tell me wise-human, how would you interpret that sentence? No-where did I claim that Eastern Europeans is a "race". We are all unified by our humanity, I used the word "racist" because that is the word we use to describe prejudices and discrimination towards a population. Simply using the word "racist" does not mean one subscribes to the idea that humans are different based on geography. I fail to see the point of your comment.
@maciejkornatowski3026
@maciejkornatowski3026 6 жыл бұрын
Wise human would understand couple things. One, Austria's "real" name is Österreich - "Eastern Realm". It's been historically easternmost Germanic realm, and as such had certain different... flavors than more Western European countries. In this specific case Lauda invokes "Eastern" in a sense that's quite frankly most natural to him. Eastern thinking is communism, nationalization, state over individual and so on. That's what Eastern Europe was throughout most of his life. And that's what he refers to when he talks about how Austria was 'ran' at the time. It's not rocket science, nor is it racist to be quite honest. It's pretty accurate, although quite blunt, reference to real world.
