In five Prost fans, three or four acted like sociopath narcissists. If you are French, it's never easy to ear it, but it's the truth. Yes, it's a good observation on the crash scene but needing 8 months to narrow everything down and replicate the exact conditions and make sure you've get everything right isn't necessarily that bad. Wanting time to consider how you present the story is questionable though. Wanting more than a day is unacceptable. Wanting several months is morally bankrupt.
@Szaboo927 жыл бұрын
They could have also check on what he mentioned, perhaps they would have find reasons faster...
@swapode7 жыл бұрын
What makes you think that they didn't? Because a single boeing guy didn't jump to conclusions directly during the first visit of the crash site? With hind sight everything is obvious. In reality it's a massivly complicated puzzle to replicate very particular circumstances. Even if it was absolutely certain from the beginning that the cause was in the thrust reverse system, which it wasn't, you still need to locate the exact circumstances and then the exact part that caused the failure. A vague "there's possibly something wrong with the thrust reverse system" doesn't cut it even remotely.

here's the thing. there has to be some kind of profit for an industry to exist. operate on a complete loss and you get some pos government run thing like kor air. So not only do you get shit travel you have no flights which effects the economy and exponentially screws everything up. yes companies should be held accountable and even criminally prosecuted for gross negligence. But if every airline lost million in lawsuits for every passenger that died in a crash and then sued the manufacturer there would be no airlines and no insurance company willing to insure them. Put it this way. Jet Blue made 430 million dollars last year. If a 737 crashed and each passenger was two million the loss would be so big it wouldn't be worth running the airline.

Their guiding light is profit above all. They should have taken a look at GM and Chrysler because this mentality nearly drove them out of business altogether - and would have had Obama not greenlit the government bail-out to save all the jobs. Now if you buy a scrappy car it might break down and make you miss work. A disgruntled customer can always be given "free service" or "free upgrades" to his or her shoddy car. That being said if not for the huge local market the big three in Detroit would have kicked the bucket in the 80's. An aircraft manufacturer however doesn't have the luxury of offering "free service and free upgrades/fixes" to a disillusioned customer. If a plane goes down even due to a rare error everybody else loses their mind. Indeed following the first 737MAX crash Boeing should have grounded them all but another one crashed due to the very same error shortly afterwards. *This* is what offends people. They tried to sweep it under the rug. Anyways. Niki Lauda is nobody's fool and has no filter when he opens his mind. What he says here is only a testament to his great character.

Of course I am not saying that he is the victim here, he is (was) alive and the people on board are not, I am talking about the burden he had to carry and which, as we all know, dragged him down a lot.
