@@akshitakaushik5545 That was just an incident captured on camera and roll out in public a day before the parliament session for political gain and vested interest. However there had been multiple other incidents that weren't captured on camera from both Meiteis and Kukis. I think all the weapons which are in the hands of the general public from both Meiteis and Kukis can be collected in a maximum of one or two weeks by using the strength of state police and the Indian Army if the government really wants to do so as the first important short term measures. There is more than one lakhs army, paramilitary forces, CRPF, RAF, BSF and commandos etc in Manipur. But most of them are just watching like silent spectators when the houses are burning. I failed to understand how much time it's going to take to bring normalcy in this small part of India.

I live in mizoram.. I have known about it for years Before the pendamic there was a steady flow of kuki villagers feeling to mizoram After or maybe during the pendamic there was a 2nd wave of refugee from the same village They stayed along with the Myanmar refugees in refugee camps where I was volunteering to help around May of 2021 It's not a issue that started 3 monthes ago It's a very old issue And the goverment just neglected it the same way it neglected mizoram during the refugee crisis... and now people from both myanmar and manipur are flowing into mizoram ... They r our brothers we can't send them back to die The central goverment really need to solve it from the root to the top.

Monipur Issue is intentionally created due to some vested interest. If meity community is given S.T. status by High Court, then why the other commitments should raise their violent protest ? The other commitments could move to Supreme court democratically. Besides this, during the British Rule and before 1949, Meity Community was rightly entitled to S.T. Status. So pl. Implement NRC and CAA without any bias towards any religion. The tribal states of Tripura and parts of Assam have been dominated by Bangladeshi Hindus and Muslim. As a neighbour to my Manipuri brothers and sisters I'm heart broken to the level this violence has impacted the lives of the common people and jeopardized the future of the younger generation. Truly the young educated unemployed youths who are taking arms against it's own fellow brothers and sisters should have instead taken arms to protect the frontier of the country. This manipulation of the young minds through the China factor can't be ignored. A great explanation of the facts Nikita ma'am. But I feel that had the government took the Northeast Region more seriously in its entire governance period, things would not have degenerated so bad. The infrastructure in the Northeast (especially for transport) has always been less than stellar, with most of the heavy-duty railways only being laid in the 2000s. And the biggest factor driving economic mobility in any region is the access to transport, whether it is a student moving out to a neighboring city for higher studies, or a small-scale industry able to ship goods in bulk. When there's adequate connectivity, people have the means to grow the local economy and set up local industries, or even to be able to efficiently ship food in bulk. It makes it difficult for militant groups to gain a foothold, as the forces could be rapidly deployed along these arteries to subdue any violence. The govts have spent decades ignoring the infrastructure in the northeast, and this ignorance has now made the Northeast violence a major issue for the govt.
