I am afraid it will be the same problem that occured when Marco Meatball took it to react to. "Hold you tight" is a great song, but by itself, without the context and the emotions you went through in-game listening to it, it just doesnt catch your attention as much as it should Again, it doesnt make the song bad, it makes it bad example for such type of content as reactions. I would much recommend rather check out battle music like Splinter, Khamsin, Standalone or any of NieN's masterpieces (Incoming rapture, Bulletstorm, Rapture Storm, Purcuit, Chaser), because they, so to say, define the vibe, not support it

5:09 true, it's about lil sister (the girl swinging the sword, named Scarlet) remembering her big sister (the girl at the back, named Rose) that passed away. Despite having mind switched/loosing memories few times, she still remembers her big sister and also how she passed away too. She learned how to move on from sad past to be stronger in the future and also trying to maintain her memory about her sister (unlike certain someone name Doro...)

Still highly recommend checking out "Hold you tight" from the Red Ash event, it's surprising that no one has made a reaction to it yet, it's such a beautiful song.

I actually appreciate negative criticism more, even if I was the artist. Aside from providing genuine feedback and ways to improve it shows you really know how to pick apart the subject and share your personal or professional opinions on it. I also love specifically in this video how you’re sort of putting together what you think the message is of the song and referencing 2 different cultures that seem to be mixed in. The great thing about art is that it can be seen differently or similarly by different people and it’s always interesting to see what kind of images or thoughts it brings out in someone else regardless of what the intended message was. Just like the criticism with mixing in another video I totally agree with the singing and it applies to quite a few of Nikke’s or gacha game in general’s vocal artists. You can be the best singer in the world but if you sing something that isn’t in your primary language or something out of your comfort zone you’re going to have some sort of drawbacks in your performance. It’s not a bad thing that bothers me too much but it’s there.

Yeah. She pushes the limits of her vocal range there and has to switch to her "head voice" for "stands". She also rounds her vowels a lot there, which is common for boosting the power of the note, but can come off sounding bad if not very controlled

I did not look up the pre-Nikke works of Nauts, the composer of this one, but in-Nikke it is their first piece with vocals, and it's not sampled also, so I would blame the faults the song has on that. UPD: Actually Nauts made "So Playful" for the summer event which also featured live vocals, so I am being wrong here. P.s. Some(!) objective(!) criticism in reaction videos is always welcomed 😛

Id recommend you try some of the non-vocal Nien instrumentals like Die Hard or Final Battle. There’s a lot of guitar there but I think they are dope

There's an official cover with a different singer that IMO is much better. It definitely feels like it was language barrier issue
