Your parents are so chill. I grew up without any so my imagination wonders what it is like. I started van life when I was pushed from foster care because it was all I could afford. Creators like Nikki, Brandon Gross, and Chrome have shown how fun it could be and it has been a blast.

This video reminded me to much of my family and my Dad in all the best ways. I grew up going on adventures in the 1980s and 90s in Toyota van (you know those ones from the 80s that look kind of like a spaceship?) that my parents and my brother and I traveled all over the US and Canada in together. My Dad died a few months ago and I will miss going on adventures with him so very much for the rest of my life, but I am so incredibly grateful for every adventure I got to go on with him and my family. I’m in my early 40s now and my husband and kids and I have been going on car and then mini van road trips for the last 20 years or so now. A few weeks after my Dad died this past spring our aging minivan, the White Whale, decided it was giving up on us and we made the big decision to get a new sprinter instead so we can continue our family adventures in a van now that our kids are in their teens and more space would be very helpful. You were part of the inspiration for me considering a bigger van like a sprinter, along with all my 43 years of road-trips and van adventures. I am so sad my Dad won’t get to go with me on my adventures. You’re incredibly lucky to have a Dad who loves to go on adventures and see the world with you so you can enjoy it all together, so much like my Dad. Happy van adventures to you and your Dad and Camper. Maybe someday my family will run across you someplace on our travels in our new van. Keep an eye out for our big, new, green Sprinter on your travels! We’re naming her the Green Dragon Adventure Wagon!

Awww I miss camping with my dad. He had a van back in the 80's that he converted into a camping van with a bed, sink, etc. I grew up with my parents in a van club that would do large group camps and charity drives etc. My dad always woke up early and would have hot towels for us to wake up and freshen up with. It's all such great memories.
