On Israeli Secret intelligence Service (ISIS) if the rumours are true about the Bond being Jewish. You know he only got the role because Israel want some good PR after their genocide
@AWSVids6 ай бұрын
That's actually something I hadn't thought about... the entirety of the James Bond franchise so far has taken place under Elizabeth II's reign. Both film AND books. If No Time To Die were the last Bond film... the first Bond book came out the year after she took the throne... the last Bond movie came out a year before her death. Almost feels like the franchise should be put to rest as well. He was in her service only. I mean, what are the odds that the movie that comes out a year before her death actually has Bond dying as well, when no other James Bond movie or book has ever done that? The poetic synchronicity is fitting.

May as well be on Israeli Secret Intelligence Service (ISIS). Considering who is the next Bond. Giving the iconic role to a zionist for Israeli propaganda reasons.

Something people frequently miss about Bond being poisoned: It's not just that he has to stay away from Madeline and his daughter, he literally can't touch *anyone*. If he does, the nanobots will start jumping from person to person until they find their targets. Saving himself would almost certainly result in their deaths.
@robertmartin90296 ай бұрын
Exactly. The only possible way to ensure his daughter would survive was for him to die. Otherwise the nanobots that are targeted at her would eventually get to her from someone.

This movie is not only well tied with the whole Craig series, but it also has good connections with other Bond movies; plenty of Easter eggs. For example, Bond retires in Jamaica, where the first Bond movie "Dr. No" takes place and where Ian Fleming (the creator of the character) actually had a villa called GoldenEye (the name of the first Brosnan movie). And speaking of that, the cigar Bond finds in his Jamaican house clearly shows the Delectados brand, which is the same in the last Brosnan movie. The Aston Martin V8 Vantage he drives in the second part of the movie is the same used in a Dalton's movie. And, of course, there's the prominent use of the song "We have all the time in the World" which was also used in the Lazenby's movie.

They went all out on this one with the action and the cinematography and the gadgets. For a Bond series that felt so much more like a single continuous story than the rest of the franchise, this felt like the definitive conclusion none of the other Bonds got. Amazing how they managed to use the classic "Bond, James Bond" name drop at the end of the first one to show Bond really becoming the 007 we all know and love, and then use it at the end here to show his conclusion. I only wished they had actually called Rami Malek Dr. No, they got everything from the poison garden to him wearing an actual Noh mask.

For Your Eyes Only (1981) has Julian Glover (Grand Maester Pycelle) as Kristatos and Charles Dance (Tywin Lannister) as a blink and you're miss him henchman on a beach. On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) has a young Diana Rigg (Lady Olenna Tyrell) as Tracey. You can watch these films in any order, as pre Daniel Craig Bond films had minimal continuity.

I did actually expect Craig's Bond to die in his final movie, since it fits with the themes of NTTD and the Craig era. Themes of NTTD: * Retirement * End of the old glories of MI6 * Absolute disappearance of the faces that Bond met * Permanent loneliness * Disappearance of the 'spy Bond' due to his blood family Themes of the Craig era: * Bond being always a locus of pain and disaster for innocent people * Presentation of a world that might be better off without Bond * James with allies who need him, yet look down on him at the same time * Bond's eternal & tormenting struggle against decay His death would have upset me in another adventure with another version of the character (say, Roger Moore's Bond or Pierce Brosnan's Bond) or in a story that didn't have the themes from NTTD. So I feel like Bond's death was a unique, cohesive and faithful way to end the Craig era.

Daniel Craig made Bond 25 right after Knives Out (2019) and it was coming in Spring 2020. Although it was pushed back by the pandemic, I think we as fans had all kinds of feelings with this being Craig's last one. The theme by Billie Ellish is great. She's the youngest performer of a Bond theme ever. Glad it dropped in pre-release and got the award buzz going. It did win the Grammy, Oscar and Golden-Globe before the film came out. The story itself is so much to offer. Bond is still quite the hero and stakes even higher. Equal amounts of villians and allies to handle. The plot of the bigger picture, 'Preventing world domination' put it closer to the earlier Bond films like there was indeed much at stakes. At the heart, it's all about the stoicism of Bond. What he means to be as an legendary figure of the spy genre. Bond's sacrifice in this era at the end was one of the biggest surprises ever. Going in like a hero and leaving out like a legend. The choice is controversial for all the wrong reasons. It's ok for Tony Stark to sacrifice himself for the greater good in the MCU, but 007 can't do that in a similar situation?! (I mean really). Craig's time as Bond has been a memorable one. But don't worry..... James Bond Will Return. We don't know when. But he surely will.

Lot of people had an issue with them killing him off. I thought it was well done, but they need to establish it as canon and that be how he dies, like Sherlock Holmes and the Hound Of The Baskervilles. There’s no reason we can’t have other stories that take place before this in chronological placing, but the way or variations of the way he dies in this movie should be the official way his story ends and we can’t have his ending be some different way in the future.

Great reaction guys like always. This is the one Bond movie that had me on the edge of my seat and hit me emotionally when I first watched it. I've been asking for a movie that finally kills James Bond for years because seeing him survive so many impossible stuff so many times made me roll my eyes but when they finally did it it's in a movie where I don't want him to die. But now the Bond Frachise can cast anyone they want to be Bond, because now the name would be a homage to MI6 best spy “James Bond” so the next agent could be called “James Bond” as a Code like 007. That conversation between Bond and Madelleine at the end is my favorite moment of the entire Bond series. After all the years of Bond being this man who was doing everything and anything he could for his country, in the Craig era he allowed himself to also be a caring, broken, vulnerable man. It's the culmination of years of cold, and calous moves to keep the world safe, and this final moment exists solely for him. It's a beautiful, yet tremendously sad moment, and it makes me cry every time I see it. I'm sure some may disagree that that isn't "James Bond", but I'd argue it's the REAL James Bond, and we were only allowed a few small glimpses of it through the entire arc of his films. Ana de Armas stole the show love that. A behind-the-scenes clip shows Armas training with firearms including machine guns, and there's another clip that shows her rigorous physical combat training too. That's a huge commitment for a character who is only on screen for around 10 minutes. There some fun-facts about this one. The motorcycle stunt was the hardest stunt in the movie. according to stunt coordinator Lee Morrison, it was the hardest stunt to shoot in the whole movie, despite there being others much more intricate. The reason it was so difficult was that it was such a bumpy and slippery ride, as the roads in Matero, Italy, are paved with cobblestones. Morrison said it was the "worst he ever shot on." The Louis Armstrong song used in this movie is also a from another Bond movie, that was also the song heard at the close of this movie as Madeleine drives into the tunnel and the scene fades to black. The tranquil fury and classic smolder are just a couple of the many Bond mannerisms and behaviors that Daniel Craig nails, and it isn't hard to believe that'd it'd make anybody speechless when seeing it in person. That's exactly what happened to Rami Malek. The actor told in a interview that he forgot his lines, saying, "'Oh, this is because I'm looking straight at James Bond.' I couldn't handle it. It isn't the first time this has happened”. Keep up the good work.

The neat thing about this movie is that, even though Safin wasn’t actually working with SPECTER, unlike the previous villains, and was actually they’re enemy, the fact that his family had been part of SPECTER and that Blofeld’s order made him like this means that Blofeld is still the main overarching villain of the Craig era. Safin was just an unforeseen outcome of Blofeld’s actions, and he only had the opportunity to rise because Bond had disrupted Blofeld’s plan for world conquest, giving him an opening for his own, more insane but more dangerous plan. Safin is creepy, but he’s more creepy like Greene in Quantum of Solace, not in the sophisticated, psychopathic genius way that Blofeld and Silva are.

For me "Skyfall" is the greatest (I mean, they built the set the exact distance for Javier Bardem to walk from the far wall to closeup while giving his intro monologue), but this one is awesome, from a Bond so distraught he sits in the car and briefly considers letting the bad guys shoot him to a car chase with machine gunners, just another day at the office for 007, but this time with a child in the car. And I too wondered why Bond's EMP watch wouldn't short out his communications, but on second viewing Q says something about "stops any hardwired network in range" which isn't how EMP works but oh well. Great reaction.

I have been watching Bond since the late 70's and I dont care what anyone else says, Craig is THE best Bond we've ever had. Casino Royale, Skyfall and No Time To Die are in the top 5 of best Bond movies.

Maybe you missed it but it did say "James Bond will return" at the end of the credits.

At the end of the movie Madeline asks James isn't there something they can do. My immediate thought was, how about an MRI or an Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP)? Nanobots are technology, EMPs shut down technology. How about it scientists out there? Bond had a way out, just not the time.

a campaign needs to be made for Lashana Lynch to be in the next Knives Out movie, I LOVE their chemistry

Btw. as a critics video (maybe CinemaSins) reacted to Bond's... last scene like there's no way he'd be killed by it. The amount of explosions he had suffered in this movie only, he could be eating them for breakfast to build up immunity 🤓

Gonna miss Craig as Bond. He's my fav. Idk who I'd like to play him next. Was thinking maybe Idris or Tom Ellis.

Aaron-Taylor Johnson seems pretty close to getting the role.

@JordanJMyers, Elba would have been a sharp choice a long time ago, but he's far too old at this point.

Heracles. Resistance is futile! Louis Armstrong, " We have all the time in the world" Watch the end of " On her majesty's secret service", the George Lazenby one, just before Roger Moore as Bond

Great reaction. Even if it doesn't rank among the best "finales" of film franchises, I think it's still a good movie. 🙂 I watched it 6 times in the theaters. It's like a "What if...? / Elseworld" story about James Bond being past his prime and living a last fantasy of true romance, while there is a kinda evil MI6. I love that the production team took risks with this movie in particular. I cried with the ending and that's something I gonna remember fondly as a James Bond fan. I was introduced to the 007 franchise thanks to Daniel Craig and I gonna miss him a lot as the character. Of course this isn't the end of the franchise. There is going to be a new Bond actor and he will start a new arc/take/era for this character (as has always happened with previous actors). ;)

41:45 - You should watch The Consultant (only one season). Worth it just for his performance.
