I love how Kevin talks about Hurricane (~ 09:40) and how it's played at grandparents' birthday parties etc.. Because just a few days ago I saw Electric Callboy live at a festival and they played Hurrikan live. They asked people to form a big pit. But not to mosh, but for the people to use it as a dancing ground and to do some couple dance. And then I saw a couple (~40 years old) dancing happily in the pit. The woman didn't seem to know Electric Callboy very well, but she was having great fun until her boyfriend/husband pushed her out of the pit just a few seconds before the breakdown was about to hit. She was confused because she didn't know why he was pushing her out of the pit. I couldn't hear what he was saying, but his body language clearly said, "Run honey, you're not prepared for what's about to happen." I laughed my ass off when I saw that.

I saw EC for the first time in Boston last month. Last summer, I didn't know who EC was. Now I'm a huge fan. Their concert was amazing. High energy and nonstop fun. You can't leave an EC show without a big smile on your face. The Boston crowd was great too. The most impressive thing was Nico and Kevin meeting fans, signing autographs and taking pictures with fans after the show. How often does a headliner do that? One of my favorite concerts of all time, topped only by Rammstein. When EC comes back, I will be sure to see them again. What a great group of talented musicians, who love what they do and are grateful to their fans. They make metal fun!

Kevin mentioned Brazil and touring. "Please come to Brazil" and "Greetings from Lima" are also very common in Babymetal comment sections. If they'd do a double headliner tour through South America together, folks down there would go bonkers.
@peterlane68957 ай бұрын
Not just South America... it should be a worldwide tour. The energy of both bands together would be such a fantastic and unique experience. Too many times Babymetal bring bands with them that take music SOOO seriously that it would be refreshing to have someone with them that would enhance the fun side.
@ralfklonowski37407 ай бұрын
@@peterlane6895 While I agree with you, planning and playing a world tour is time consuming stuff. South America would be efficient as up to now the fans there had no opportunity to see either band live, and you'll probably get away with a quick nine-city-dash, let's say Mexico City, Lima, Rio de Janiero, Sao Paulo, Montevideo, Buenos Aires, Bogota, Santiago de Chile and Havana. No, not Caracas, if anything I heard about crime and violence there is somwhere near the truth While the distances involved would make for challenging logistics, the limited amount ogf shows wouldn't tie up both bands for too long. And again, the fans there are starved, while Europe, the US and Asia/Australia have been toured by BM multiple times.

I have three kids and they think Electric Callboy is fun music. They don't understand the lyrics yet, phew! 😆 My youngest is 3½ years old, she's like bursting into the kitchen while I'm making dinner to Ratatata, makes horns, and trips over the grocery bags on the floor.. gets up laughing and dances wildly. My oldest daughter is 10 years old and we're going to see Hanabie live July 3rd, and she's so excited. The Japanese bands Hanabie, Baby Metal, and Band-Maid are slowly getting her to like listening to hard rock and metal, and I love that is what she chooses to listen to rather than 1 minute (max) meme-songs..... That's what here classmates listen to apparently... But she listens to full length metal songs. I must admit that I'm a bit proud. 😁 Oh, metal, and Taylor Swift.
