Why is no one talking about how he gets to play Daytona. Look at the set list for that weekend and tell me that Slaughter to Prevail’s rise isn’t meteoric. Shit is insane. Alex knows how to KZbin and id imagine touring with Ronnie helped them out a lot.

You mention that it used to be radio edit type music or just fast Deathcore shit. Now they changed. I think streaming has opened up channels to get your music to audiences without requiring radio or CD sales. Now you can get streaming royalties and shit doing pretty much whatever. People also seem to have more pent up rage now since we can’t ever say what we want (like trans women can’t have periods used to be a scientific fact and now it’s…probably making people cringe that I just said that). The point is that the inability to speak freely causes compartmentalization which will build pressure. This type of shit is a release from that. Disclaimer: I was only using an example of many different things that could have been used but that type of thing is one of the hot button, shut your piehole, moments people are seeing. Thumbs up if you cringed.

Conflict wasn’t a banger. As id said when it first released, this is a filler song. It looked like a space filler to ride on the Viking wave. It will also be a monster when they play it live. We did the M+G with my son and it was so awesome meeting Alex and the other lads. Alex met my youngest son of 5 outside the venue and took a picture with him, he’s such a sweet and humble guy! Cool hearing a shoutout to Hatebreed. I served tables at a restaurant last year. I served a dude and his family in his 40s just after seeing Slaughter in Harrisburg. I was like it was such a good show. He told me he roomed with a deathcore band in Connecticut in college, who were friends with Hatebreed. So Hatebreed was coming over all the time to hang out. Small world. "Concieved Through an Act of Violence" is fucking epic!!! Especially because I HATE my earthly family!! Sweet interview
